Roles and Responsibilities:

Adhere to a dynamic maintenance plan for each horse, including specialized nutritional requirements.
Responsible for haying, graining, and watering based on nutritional plans.
Responsible for barn cleanliness and maintenance, including cleaning of stalls and feed shed.
Monitor health and behavior of animals daily, and communicate any injuries, diseases, or abnormal behaviors to Equine Director.
Assist with trailering, reinforcement of positive equine behavior, administration of treatment programming, and routine medical care as needed.
Inventory each animal to ensure their nutritional needs are met and documents each animal's care and procedures according to their respective maintenance plans.
Assist in developing individualized equine programming and assist with implementation.
Continually inventory all equine supplies; coordinate delivery/purchase to maintain adequate levels without lapse.
Transport animals and supplies to designated locations as needed.
Assist with farrier, veterinary and dentistry appointments.
Assist with administration of vaccinations, worming, and all required medication and/or Treatments.
Minimum requirements:
