Annual Base Salary for newly appointed CBPOs varies as follows:
GS-5 and GS-7 $40,332 - $109,952 per year
Locality pay varies by duty location.Note: A fully trained CBPO is eligible for up to $45,000 in overtime pay in addition to the starting salary. Grade level eligibility and salaries vary depending upon background, including experience and education, and duty location of the opportunity. This is a career ladder position with a grade level progression of GS-5, GS-7, GS-9, GS-11, and GS-12. You will be eligible for a promotion to the next higher grade level (without re-applying) once you successfully complete 52 weeks in each grade level. Promotions are at the discretion of the agency. Officers are eligible to select from an array of federal employment benefits that include health, dental and other insurance plans, a generous annual and sick leave program, and participation in the Thrift Savings Plan, a retirement plan akin to a traditional and ROTH 401(k) offering.

Must obtain and maintain NAASCO PACP/MACP/LACP certification within (1) one year of employment.
All required licenses and certifications must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.
Essential Functions
* Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance;
* Individual attends and occasionally leads pre-construction meetings;
* Observes and documents complex sewer, force main, pump station, and treatment plant installations for residential and Capital Improvement Program projects;
* Observes and documents sanitary sewer testing including, but not limited to, air and hydrostatic tests to detect leakage, pipe deflection testing, soil compaction testing, and concrete testing;
* Performs plan and record drawing review;
* Observes and documents repairs performed on sewers and manholes under warranty;
* Performs inspections in basements of buildings under construction for practices that are detrimental to the County's system;
* Investigates illegal sewer connections and reports to Sanitary Engineer or designated staff;
* Matches construction plans with cut sheets;
* Inspects mainline sewer, laterals, force mains, and air release valves;
* Leads crews to perform final inspections of construction projects and survey and inspect existing infrastructure;
* Performs confined space entries into sanitary structures for measurement and inspection;
* Measures manholes and wyes for horizontal locations and elevations;
* Locates and marks DCRSD sewers and force mains as required by prospective land users, contractors and OUPS;
* Assists in investigating various complaints from residents and companies;
* Prepares permits drawn with clear and concise details for sewer taps of new homes and commercial buildings;
* Interprets blueprints and discusses deviation from specification and ensures compliance with County regulations;
* Attends various training sessions, video conferences, and workshops.
* Performs typing, word processing, and related computer operations;
* Works overtime and outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required; and
* Other duties as assigned.

Job Description
A Mobile Inspector I functions as a member of the Manheim mobile inspections team for a designated region with the primary responsibilities of conducting vehicle condition inspections on a client's lot. Their core skill is to provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition within the parameters of a Manheim inspection.
This position will build trust with clients, engage to help them see the value in the Manheim Marketplace, and to request more inventory to be inspected by providing quality and timely inspections. As Mobile Inspector I, this role will work closely with the Sr Mobile Inspector and/or Mobile Inspector IV as they expand their inspection skills, gain familiarity with the mobile inspection role, and build relationships with clients.

Primary Duties & Key Responsibilities
Will work closely with more senior mobile inspectors and mobile inspections management while they expand their inspection skills and gain a better understanding of the role.
Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection.
Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients' lot safely.
Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system to correct VIN, mileage, and sub series.
Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items.
Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including but not limited to tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components.
Inspect and record the vehicle interior condition, including but not limited to seats, dashboard, and options.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
To observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform safety audits and/or observations. (CBT's and safety program)
Understands what machines and products are being manufactured.
Communicate with the quality technician from the previous shift and discuss all pertinent information regarding manufacturing issues (orders, machine issues, staffing…).
Perform first piece inspections, perform in-process inspections and perform final inspections.
Perform periodic inspections on production lines to ensure the products are within acceptable limits (weight, tolerances…). Contact operator and report any non-conforming issues.
Train operators on each machine to ensure clear understanding of quality standards.
Assist with new product launch qualification and other objectives as directed by quality supervisor/manager.
Ensure that shipping containers are packed according to customer specifications. Box counts.
Maintain calibration system. Update and maintain compliance.
Assists on machines/lines as required.
Coordinate with Production or other personnel in developing and taking necessary corrective action when non-conformances are discovered.
Communicate issues in analyzing Quality System performance using available data from statistical processes, audit information, etc.
Be attentive to inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and processes in need of improvement.
Assist quality supervisor/manager with the proper organization, retention, and maintenance of quality records.
Fill out NCRs as necessary.
Provide training and assistance to new employees.
Report non-compliance of policies to local management.
Be an active participant in Performance Improvement teams.
