Job Summary:- Perform manual and machine operation tasks related to the paper cutter machine.
- Review job ticket and set-up cutter in accordance with designated instructions.
- Operate paper cutter.

Crawford Industries, now a part of Spartech, LLC has an opening for a Cutter Operator on our team in Crawfordsville, IN. The Crawfordsville operation of the organization specializes in extruding and converting flat plastic sheet. We extrude flat plastic sheet in an assortment of colors. We can add graphics and die cut to form a multitude of products. We can add 3-ring binders, Velcro, labels, or other items. Some of items you might see that we manufacture include signage for seed companies, license plates for car dealerships, pet collars for veterinary practices, front and back covers for datebooks for many school systems and colleges, binders for the armed services, or packaging for pharmaceuticals.
General Summary and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
This position sets-up and operates a Cutter Machine and any auxiliary equipment; ensures the product is what the customer ordered by checking gauge, color, size, squareness and texture of sheet.
Key Responsibilities to include:
Reads process sheet for each job assigned.
Follows production schedules
Cuts material
Provides for preventive maintenance on equipment such as greasing, oiling and cleaning the machine
Change cutting blades when needed
Complete requirement production and quality paperwork
Efficiently provides for flow of product into and out of department
Requirements
Required Skills/Experience:
High School diploma or experience demonstrating equivalent skills and abilities
Prior manufacturing experience is preferred
Good basic math skills including fractions and decimals
Ability to read and use a tape measure
Will be required to use a hand truck to move material
This position reports to Production Supervisor - Cutting & Die Cut.
