We're seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide essential peer and operational support to our patients during their recovery journey. As a BHT, you'll spend the most time with our patients and play an important role in fostering trust and connection while ensuring patient safety at all times. Position Details: Reporting to: Director of Operations Schedule: Part-time, two 12-hour overnight shifts per week Location: Seminole, FL (On-site) Key Responsibilities: Patient Supervision and Safety: Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and communicate with medical staff for attention needs. Ensure adherence to facility rules and document incidents. Waive Testing: Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with company policies. Patient Interaction and Support: Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support, referring clinical concerns to therapy staff. Demonstrate empathy and adaptability in addressing diverse patient needs. Communication and Team Collaboration: Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader, Supervisor/Operations Director while collaborating with the team to ensure high-quality care. Maintain positive relationships within the addiction treatment community and contribute to a supportive team environment. Daily Program and Facility Management: Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and recreational activities. Ensure facility safety, supervise supplies, and manage patient discharge preparations. Required Qualifications: Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years. Must be at least 21 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Relevant behavioral health certification. Work experience in the field of substance use disorder or mental health treatment. Description of Services The Behavioral Health Worker will be responsible for implementing mental health treatment and crisis intervention for children and families through the Clinical Home model. This position also includes providing psycho-educational groups for youth and/or families, intensive case management service to children and families, and supporting clients with one-on-one interventions in the school, home, and community to support the overall mental health goals of the child's treatment plan. Behavioral Health Workers will attend weekly supervision and consultation deemed appropriate as well as frequent participation in trainings. Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities: 1. Provide direct behavioral interventions and teach client-specific skills. This may include individual/group interventions, psycho-education groups, and assisting in crisis intervention to identified children and families within the school system as well as in the home and community. 2. Maintain a collaborative relationship with the parent/guardian of each client. 3. Collect and update data related to client's record. 4. Implement individualized crisis plans for each client and family. Work with treatment team to help neutralize crises. 5. Participate in on-call crisis intervention triage as needed during evenings, nights, and weekends. Assist in debriefing of crisis situations to develop more effective plans for families served. 6. Attend and actively participate in weekly group supervision. 7. Document and complete daily case records required and in compliance with all Federal and State regulations. 8. Attend all trainings and workshops as required for professional development. 9. Provide Structural Family Therapy interventions for children and families as directed. Case Management Responsibilities: 1. Provide intensive case management to children and families that include addressing needs that negatively impact the family's level of functioning. 2. Participate in Interagency meetings as deemed appropriate. 3. Participate in Individualized Educational Plans as deemed appropriate. 4. Complete required reports to Child line and other agencies involved, as necessary. 5. Work in collaboration with Program Director, Clinical Consultant, Administrative Staff, Quality Assurance Department, and the billing department to assist in the process of monitoring quality assurance and other protocols necessary to effectively manage programmatic aspects. 6. Maintain high quality records sufficient to meet State and Federal clinical documentation requirements that include all funding sources. Education Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services related field.
