Flexible schedule, medical benefits, working with the individuals, and supportive co-workers.

Cons of working at Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities

Underpaid, too many clients to attend to provide services. Supporting a caseload requires you to know how to make sure that housing includes any assistive technology, connect people to programs and provide personal info for employment, find housing ( if needed), manage budgets as high as in the millions of dollars, provide oversight of services and service providers. Your notes maybe used for court. You need to bill 5.5 hours out of a 7.5 hour day ( that does not mean you are not working, it just means you may not have documented your time. For Black employees there is no promotion pipeline. As long as the Board has been in operation no Blacks hold executive positions and less than 10 managers out of 450 employees. Raises have been as low as 1%. There are departments with only 1-3 Black employees. Clients of color do not have
