The Cycle Counter is responsible for ensuring a high level of accuracy of inventory levels in the distribution center by performing cycle counts daily, weekly and quarterly. Resolve any and all discrepancies in a timely manner through communication with Inventory Control and Warehouse leadership, and any required research.

Essential Job Functions Completes physical inventories, cycle counts, random or receipt audits, and reconciliations on a daily, monthly or quarterly basis.Resolves inventory issues in a timely manner. Researches inventory discrepancies, including variances in usage and cost.Performs inventory computer transactions in the Warehouse Management system.Utilizes order pickers and other MHE equipment in the execution of counting locations.Utilizes RF guns to execute counting and investigate inventory variances and inventory reconciliation.Adheres to all safety procedures / standards within the course of performing job tasks.

Job Requirements High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent is required.1-2 years of work experience in a distribution center environment is highly preferred.Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) applications. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is preferred.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide Ability to accurately count product and convert counts into inner packs or cases.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to use RF scan guns and personal computer Ability to be trained on and operate MHE (Forklift, Stock Picker, Pallet Jack).Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Frequently required to sit; stand; walk; reach with hands and arms.

What You'll Do
As a Cycle Counter, you'll be part of our Infrastructure team located in Dexter, MI. You'll get to:


Monitor inventory integrity by performing daily cycle counts to ensure all materials on shop floor are accurately reported in ERP system Review Syteline transactions to resolve inventory discrepancies Create monthly inventory and root cause analysis reports Assist in preparation of physical inventories Other duties as assigned (including but not limited to driving a forklift or other powered industrial trucks to perform tasks as needed)

Job Overview:
Macy's ICQA Troubleshooters perform all functions related to problem solving techniques to correct inventory and operational issues while ensuring facility financial and unit inventory integrity is maintained.

Essential Functions:

• Physically count, move boxes and use lifts to accurately perform cycle counts of warehouse items.
• Perform root-cause analysis and provide consistent feedback on inventory issues to Supervisor and/or management.
• Research and locate missing product.
• Completion of the daily task list.
• Assist in training new hires in department processes.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years related experience
• Ability to read and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals
• Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
• May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, climbing ladders, depth perception and color vision
• Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs

Supply Chain Only and Colleagues Working in a Supply Chain Facility except in locations governed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement:

Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted on a monthly or semi-monthly basis, depending upon factors including but not limited to the size of the facility and the number of colleagues on roll. Colleagues will be randomly selected for testing by a third party. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is informed of selection for testing, absent extenuating circumstances. In all circumstances, testing must be completed within 24 hours of notification.
