Job Details:
• Work various shifts Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• Perform gynecological and obstetric ultrasounds under direction of OB/GYN providers
• Operate ultrasound equipment competently for gynecological and obstetric procedures/studies
• Accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings
• Review patient medical records to obtain clinical information including patient history, lab results, and physician orders
• Position patients and select proper transducer and technical factors for accurate ultrasound procedures
• Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate
• Accurately identify and label images with patient name, medical record unit number, and scan location
• Maintain records in accordance with regulatory agencies and enter patient information into radiology information system
• Analyze sonograms, synthesize sonographic information and medical history
• Communicate diagnostic examination results to interpreting physicians
• Medical Sonographer (RDMS) registration with Abdomen and OB/GYN from ARDMS required within 3 months
• Must demonstrate competency in all gynecological and obstetric sonographic procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic techniques required
• Ability to work independently and manage simultaneous assignments
• Flexible schedule and adaptability to constant change required
