The Project Supervisor has supervisory responsibility for the crew assigned and managerial responsibility for the projects completed by the crew. The Project Supervisor must ensure the crew is completing the project per the specification and within the budget. Customer satisfaction is among the highest priorities and is achieved through the safe delivery of a quality roof, good communications, and being invisible. A key role for the Project Supervisor is the development of crew personnel as world class roofers. The Project Supervisor completes the project on time and on budget, to the satisfaction of the building owner. * Manage the crew for the installation of a quality roof in a safe and timely manner, while maintaining job profitability * Continually develops, trains and coaches the crew * Disciplines crew personnel when necessary for lack of performance and/or for violating company policies and procedures * Maintain good customer relations - act as liaison between management and the customer * Record work performed daily using daily reports; report crew time accurately using laptop computer * Review requisitions to determine materials needed and work with the shop to make sure all materials get to the job site; discuss and revise delivery schedules when needed * Attend pre-construction meetings * Determine job-specific safety guidelines/procedures keeping in line with D. C. Taylor Co. requirements * Obtain building permits * Perform Job Hazard Analysis * Monitor job site inventory, assess short falls, and order additional materials in a timely manner * Maintain company assigned vehicle and other resources required for roof installation and safety Essential * Commercial roofing field experience. * Current valid driver's license. * Ability to use/learn business technology. * English fluency. * Capable of working at elevations and performing strenuous activity relative to staging, carrying, and disposing of roofing material and equipment. * Ability to travel up to five weeks at a time, typically throughout the Midwest.
