Sam is the co-founder and President of d.light. Over more than a decade, he has built and grown various functions in d.light, including its supply chain, global brand and marketing, product design and engineering teams, cloud and platform teams, and country offices in India and East Africa. Sam has been selected as an Ashoka Fellow, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, a Schwab Foundation Social Entrepreneur of the Year, a Next Generation Leader for Africa by the African Leadership Network, a Business Insider top 100 business visionary, and an ELITE Rising Star by the 21st Century Icon Awards. He was awarded the 2014 Charles Bronfman Prize and the National Peace Corps Assocation's 2011 Sargent Shriver Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Assistance. His leadership has also been recognized by BusinessWeek, Forbes, The Guardian, and Social Venture Network.

Jacob Okoth is d.light’s Chief Operating Officer. He has more than 23 years working experience in senior operational roles across Africa and Europe. Jacob has worked mostly in the telecommunications sector but also has experience in FMCG and Insurance sectors specializing in sales and distribution, marketing, customer experience, route-to-market, strategic planning and general management. Jacob led the introduction and successful scaling of payphones business across Africa for Celtel International while based out of their Netherlands headquarters. Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Jacob was the Managing Director of Africa at d.light. Jacob holds a bachelor of science degree from Egerton University in Kenya. He is also an alumni of London Business School having attended and completed the advanced management program.

Adrian Bock is a d.light’s global CFO, Adrian brings a wealth of experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, change management, financial department re-engineering, and shared services set-up. He has been the Chief Financial Officer of several publicly listed companies operating out of Africa, in industries ranging from finance to fast-moving consumer goods. Prior to joining d.light, Adrian was the CFO and joint CEO of Ellies Holdings Limited, successfully turning around the fortunes of the Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed company, which provides energy-efficient electronic and solar products. Prior to Ellies, he also served as CFO of Trustco Group Holdings, a micro finance and micro insurance listed company. Adrian is a chartered accountant and completed his training at BDO Spence Stewart (previously Panel Kerr Foster) in 1997.

I am a seasoned financial services executive, leader, and strategist. I am an expert in operating on the African continent with experience from living and operating in several African countries. I’m passionate about growing financial services penetration on the African continent through leveraging technology. I have extensive knowledge of establishing and growing business on the African continent, mergers, acquisition, managing across geographies and a diversity of cultures.

Stephen Chan is a Chief Financial Officer at D.light Design. He has experience at American Alpine Club.
