D4C Dental Brands CEO and leadership

Anthony James is a CFO at D4C DENTAL BRANDS INC. and is based in Greater Atlanta Area. He has worked as CFO at Spheris and CFO at Compassus. Anthony attended University of Northern Iowa between 1987 and 1990.

Chris Bove accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer of D4C Dental Brands in January of 2019. In that time, he has quickly taken lead of product planning, purchasing and building a crucial rapport with our practice owners.

Formerly Chief Operating Officer at Wellpath (Correct Care), Chris was responsible for overall operations and care for government sponsored patients in 37 states and Australia. Prior to joining Wellpath, he served as Chief Operating Officer in a multi-service organization where he led a variety of cross functional teams. Additionally Chris Served in the United States Army as an officer in the Military Intelligence branch.

Chris graduated with a bachelor’s degree in engineering management from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master’s degree in business organizational management from the University of La Verne in California.

Dr. Lisa Shilman was promoted to Chief Dental Officer of Clinical Quality in January 2020. She received her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. She completed her General Practice residency at King’s County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. While there, she was the recipient of the Resident of the Year award. She completed her Pediatric Dental residency at Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. She is a published author in the Journal of the American Dental Association and the International Journal of Dentistry. Dr. Shilman is board certified with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

She regularly volunteers at GMOM (Georgia Mission of Mercy) providing free dental care to children and adults in need. She also volunteers with Give kids a smile day, providing free dental care for children in need, and the Special Olympics.

Dr. Jim Shealy was promoted to Chief Dental Officer of Clinical Operations in January 2020. He has also served as Director of Doctor Recruitment for D4C Dental Brands since August of 2017. He is a member of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Dental Alliance, the Dental Advisory Board for Avesis and the Board for Advocates for Children.

Prior to joining D4C, Dr. Shealy founded the Children’s Dental Sedation Centers in 1998 with offices throughout Georgia (i.e. Cartersville, Rome, Acworth and Oral Surgery/Sedation Center in Cartersville). In 2014, he transitioned his company to DSO management. Within this new structure, Dr. Shealy was instrumental in setting up sedation dentistry in other offices and training general dentists in hospital dentistry in an underserved area of South Georgia. As part of the DSO management, he actively participated in management presentations to equity partners.

Dr. Shealy received his bachelor’s degree from Wofford College and his doctorate in dental surgery from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. He specialized in pediatric dentistry at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

Andy Lyness has served as General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer for D4C Dental Brands since September of 2017. In this role, he is responsible for providing legal support to the organization, and to help ensure and promote the company’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies. Andy is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law section of the Georgia Bar. He is also a board member for the corporation’s charitable foundation, D4C Cares.

Prior to joining D4C Dental Brands, Andy served as Chief Compliance Officer for EndoChoice, Inc., an international medical device and services company based in Alpharetta, Georgia. Prior to that, he practiced law at King & Spalding in Atlanta, where his practice focused on advising clients on a range of corporate compliance and governance matters, and representing them through a variety of criminal and civil government investigations, principally in the healthcare and securities areas.

Andy earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and his Juris Doctorate from Georgia State University.

Larry Long is a Chief Operating Officer at D4C DENTAL BRANDS INC. and is based in Atlanta, Georgia. He has worked as Vice President Operations at Dynamic Dental Partners Group (DDPG), Vice President Operations - Eastern US at Smile Brands Inc, and Field Operations Manager - (Senior Eye Care Director) at LUXOTTICA RETAIL. Larry studied at Georgia College & State University.
