JOB SUMMARY: The Metrology Supervisor is responsible for leading the Metrology team and ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all measurement and inspection activities. Develop and apply quality procedures and work instructions for the Metrology team. Ensure compliance with IATF standards and company quality requirements. Conduct incoming inspections, MSA/GR&R studies, and capability studies. Maintain accurate inspection records and support audit readiness. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality on dimensional issues and discrepancy resolution. Technical collaboration with Quality Engineering on creation of test methods, test plans and lab equipment selection and acquisition process. Support continuous improvement in measurement methods, processes, and equipment utilization. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: High school diploma or GED (technical degree or certifications preferred). Minimum 2 years of experience as a Metrologist or in a dimensional inspection role. Minimum 2 years in leadership role as Incoming Inspection Supervisor, Lab Supervisor or equivalent. Advanced ability to use and program CMMs and vision measuring systems. Strong understanding of SPC, blueprint interpretation, GD&T, and layout inspection processes. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and team collaboration skills. Experience in the automotive industry or IATF-16949-regulated environment. Knowledge of PPAP, MSA, GR&R, capability studies, and annual layouts.
