Summary
This internship opportunity is designed to provide a realistic job preview and lay the solid foundation necessary for future employment with the J.R. Simplot Company. This position will be support for the Digital Sales Advisors in the region they are placed. That support will include installation and removal of soil moisture probes, tissue sampling, field moisture checks, learn SmartFarm water management software and Simplot Advisor software. There will also be other options for learning the digital side of the company. This position will work with and support experienced Crop Advisors and supervisors in sales and service activities

As a Grower Intern at Costa Farms your responsibilities may include:
Work with growing team on developing and executing trials on several plant varieties. Gathering empirical data to find solutions to produce better crops.
Documenting growing protocols and develop specification sheets to ensure a standardized process
Gain exposure to the day to day operations by assisting the growing teams with the following tasks:
Inspection and document the condition of all incoming young plants
Help scout for insects and diseases in their section

The hourly pay range for this position is
The pay range for this position in (Massachusetts) Bachelor Level: $26 - 30 an hour, Masters Level $33.00 to $46.00, plus overtime eligible.
The pay range for this position in (Tennessee) Bachelor Level: $21 - 24 an hour, Masters Level $30.00 to $40.00, plus overtime eligible.
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Operate various analytical instruments to perform all routine and non-routine analytical tasks associated with product and environmental samples both in the quality laboratory.
Adapt new analytical methods to the Valdosta manufacturing site with the guidance of a chemist or quality leader to support new products and analytical needs for existing products.
Handle laboratory waste in a safe and effective manner in compliance with Corteva Agriscience guidelines and local and federal laws.
