T.G. Lee Dairy has immediate job openings for dependable CDL B Route Relief Driver to provide relief/backup support for company when drivers are on vacation or other time off. May provide on-call relief, cover partial trips or fill in due to staffing needs. Demonstrate knowledge of multiple delivery routes and possess necessary qualifications and experience to drive class B vehicles per the relief driving assignment. Keep up-to-date knowledge of routes, which may include going on route ride(s) to keep active knowledge. Operate a straight truck or pup truck to deliver products in a safe and timely manner to customers according to the delivery route schedule as determined by the supervisor. Demonstrate high standards of customer service. Communicate frequently with peers, supervisors, and others.
Job Duties:
Operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules, regulations and policies adhering to all safety practices
Deliver pre-ordered or unscheduled (special orders) products to customers (schools, grocery stores, nursing homes, etc.) according to route schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely manner
Follow designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by supervisory personnel. Report delivery delays to management due to road conditions, accidents or breakdowns
Based on route design, load and unload product as required at designated stops (manually with hook, 2-wheel cart and/or pallet jack); may include stocking, rotating, and/or ordering of product (varies from route to route)
Collect empty cases
Provide merchandising support based on customer requirements and promote the addition and sales of new products if appropriate
Communicate effectively and maintain good relations with customers, resolve customer complaints, and report any problems to the driver supervisor or manager
Ensure and/or perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used (tires, fuel, oil check, etc.) and maintain a clean vehicle
Ensure load is properly secured prior to travel and at each stop and make adjustments when needed
Complete all daily paperwork fully and correctly each day. Complete DOT and customer paperwork including delivery tickets, pre and post trip inspections, driver logs, trip records, and vehicle service reports
Submit all customer paperwork and deposits daily, including invoices, load orders, and handheld reports
Ensure sufficient route inventory levels to meet customer demands while adhering to account inventory control and company distribution procedures; document condition of freight before departure
Attend all driver workshops and training sessions
Use company supported applications or systems properly
Represent DFA positively and professionally at all times during interactions with customers or other individuals

Qualifications
Maintain CDL license & no Moving Violations
Maintain ALE/ABC License & knowledge of all rules and regulations
Familiar with all products and with the ability to advise assigned accounts
Strong Selling Skills, handle pressure, set performance goals
Provide quality service to assigned customers with Excellent communication skills and gain distribution equal to or better than our competition.
Able to bend, lift, carry, climb, stoop, and stack products weighing up to 200 lbs (with hand-truck).

Required Qualifications

The Class B Delivery Truck Driver within our organization is responsible for the transportation of products, proficiently operating commercial vehicles and executing safe loading/unloading procedures at both customer and company sites. In strict adherence to safety regulations, the Class B Driver consistently upholds effective communication with management. Reporting directly to the Transportation Manager/ Supervisor, the Class B Delivery Driver guarantees the secure and efficient delivery of products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Overnight stays are required when needed.
? Product Delivery: Efficiently pick up and deliver the company's products from plants and warehouses to distribution centers and grocery stores using refrigerated trucks. Safely operate commercial vehicles over intercity routes, spanning multiple states.
? Documentation and Compliance: Ensure complete and accurate Department of Transportation (DOT) logs, whether electronic or manual, as required. Maintain company vehicle by submitting Maintenance Defects reports and reconcile with the appropriate company representative. Obtain and submit receipts, bills of lading, and signatures for delivered goods promptly.
? Loading and Unloading: Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions, ensuring proper vehicle and loading equipment alignment. Load and unload products by hand, utilizing hand carts and pallet jacks to prevent damage and ensure load stability. Break down delivery loads when necessary, maintaining product standards and safety.
? Route Management: Deliver products within the assigned route schedule and time windows. Immediately inform the management team of any deviations from the schedule.
? Safety and Equipment Operation: Safely operate all assigned equipment, including hand carts, pallets, load bars, and personal protective equipment. Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in compliance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
? Warehouse and Environment Maintenance: Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment inside and outside the truck. Assist in ensuring sanitary conditions in warehouses and yards to comply with safety regulations.
? Returns and Additional Responsibilities: Handle damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork. Pick up raw materials (boxes and packaging materials) as needed.
? Training and Communication: Attend training sessions and company meetings for additional training and to stay updated on Department of Transportation and other regulations. Obtain authorization for Lumper services, if needed, from the Transportation Department or site General Manager.
? Safety Reporting: Report all observed safety concerns promptly to the Transportation Supervisor.
? Regulatory Adherence: Adhere to all Department of Transportation requirements/regulations, protocols for Food Safety, and Soli Organic' policies and procedures.
? Additional Tasks: Transport bulk containers (totes) as required. - Perform other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor or another member of the management team.
