DSG is seeking a CDL Class A Delivery Driver in our Plymouth, MN location. In this full time, hourly position, work is typically performed between the hours of 5am and 2:30pm, Monday through Friday , but may vary on occasion according to business needs. As a CDL Delivery Driver, you will work in all aspects of warehouse operations, with the primary duty of delivering product to customers and jobsites , which includes the loading, unloading, securing and transporting of such materials.

The CDL Delivery Driver must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with current medical card.
A Typical Day in the Life of a CDL Class A Delivery Driver at DSG:
Load delivery truck in a safe manner, according to company policy
Work with warehouse associates to communicate how product should be loaded
Inspect truck & trailer according to company policy and DOT standards, to ensure it is in good working order
Immediately communicate any vehicle safety and/or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Communicate with customers regarding delivery dates & times
Drive to various customer locations, typically within 150 miles of branch location
Unload materials at customers' places of businesses and/or warehouses, as per customer instruction
Stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations including completion of training activities as required by DSG policy and/or regulatory authorities
Adhere to DSG's safety policy and vehicle safety program
Maintain a good driving record
Assist in all aspects of warehouse operations when not out on delivery:
Accurately pull product to fill orders in a timely manner
Pack, label and put filled orders in proper locations for delivery
Operate forklift
Use computer and RF scanner to check on status, availability and location of product
Perform other duties as assigned
A Successful CDL Class A Delivery Driver Typically Has:
A valid Class A CDL with current medical card (required).
Basic product and warehouse/delivery knowledge normally acquired in one to three years of applicable experience.
Attention to detail.
The ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively to work efficiently under pressure and time deadlines.
Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
A physical ability to lift, push, pull or move items weighing 70-325lbs. with the aid of mechanical device or another person.
Prior computer knowledge, experience, and skills.

The primary role of CDL Driver is to safely and compliantly operate various heavy equipment with a gross vehicle weight over 26,000 pounds, including but not limited to roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, liquid vacs, turbo vacs, box trucks, and rack trucks with trailers. AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Class A CDL Driver at our Minneapolis facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will help deliver our steel products safely and on time, while maintaining great customer relationships. This is for daily routes (no OTR) only.
This position is overtime eligible, paying $30 - $36 hourly. DOE.
Duties and Responsibilities
May drive a tractor-trailer truck combination to transport and deliver goods to and from designated locations.
Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicle is in proper working condition.
Obeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures.
Loads and unloads trucks, vans and/or automobiles.
Reports any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
Presents bills and receipts and collects payments for goods delivered or loaded.
Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
Turns in receipts and money received from deliveries.
Maintains records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
Reads maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions.
Qualifications
A CDL - Class A license under no type of suspension is

Job Description
AZZ has an exciting 1st shift opportunity for a Class A CDL Driver at our Minneapolis facility. Reporting to the Operations Manager you will help deliver our steel products safely and on time, while maintaining great customer relationships. This is for daily routes (no OTR) only.
This position is overtime eligible, paying $30 - $36 hourly. DOE.
Duties and Responsibilities
May drive a tractor-trailer truck combination to transport and deliver goods to and from designated locations.
Inspects and maintains vehicle supplies and equipment such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes to ensure that vehicle is in proper working condition.
Obeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures.
Loads and unloads trucks, vans and/or automobiles.
Reports any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles.
Presents bills and receipts and collects payments for goods delivered or loaded.
Verifies the contents of inventory loads against shipping papers.
Turns in receipts and money received from deliveries.
Maintains records such as vehicle logs, records of cargo or billing statements in accordance with regulations.
Reads maps and follows written and verbal geographic directions.
Qualifications
A CDL - Class A license under no type of suspension is required
2-5 years of commercial driving experience is required
Must have experience operating a flatbed trailer truck
Experience hauling steel or industrial machinery is
preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent is required

Load delivery truck in a safe manner, according to company policy
Work with warehouse associates to communicate how product should be loaded
Inspect truck & trailer according to company policy and DOT standards, to ensure it is in good working order
Immediately communicate any vehicle safety and/or maintenance issues to the supervisor
Communicate with customers regarding delivery dates & times
Drive to various customer locations, typically within 150 miles of branch location
Unload materials at customers' places of businesses and/or warehouses, as per customer instruction
Stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations including completion of training activities as required by DSG policy and/or regulatory authorities
