Reports To: Director of Environmental Services, regarding essential duties, responsibilities, schedule changes and for up-dates regarding room moves/ discharges and other pending duties.
Purpose:
Housekeeping personnel are directly responsible for the cleanliness of the physical plant and environment, including the resident rooms, fixtures, furniture and equipment, and for keeping the facility safe, attractive and in an operative state at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIIES

Essential Job Duties:
A. General
1. Keeping facility clean and sanitized
2. Cleaning of resident's rooms
3. Cleaning and sanitizing common areas
4. Following chore list as assigned by supervisor
5. Keeping equipment clean and in working order
6. Stocking housekeeping carts daily after use
B. Common Areas
Vacuums all halls and elevators.
2 Cleaning/sanitizing and stocking public and staff restrooms.
3. Dusting pictures/fixtures in halls
4. Extracting and spot cleaning carpets where needed
5. Requests supplies as needed to supervisor.
6. Delivering facility newspapers
7. Clean pantry in dining rooms
9. Check refrigerators in pantries.
8. Spot clean all walls
10. Washes windows and doors.
11. Sweeps cobwebs outside doors.
Resident rooms
Weekly 1. Spot-clean walls and floors.
Clean bedside tables/ dresser.
Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop floors.
Clean shower/tub, toilet, sink, and mirror.
Collect trash.
Spot clean soiled areas on carpet.
Sanitize bed and dust as needed.
Strip bedding and make beds.
Monthly
Wash shower curtains.
wash any privacy curtains
wash wheelchairs as needed
Other Duties:
Wash windows, blinds and patio doors.
Dust furniture in halls, scrub handrails and baseboards.
Dust pictures in halls.
Extract all carpets.
Detailed cleaning in any empty rooms.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Strip bedding and make beds.
