Administers data processing systems and services for the factory(ies) he/she supports. Responsible for maintaining the systems as state-of-the-art. Serves as the system administrator for the Data General computer, terminals and the SAP software. Serves as the UNICOR Assistant Information Security Officer. Serves as the on-site expert for all UNICOR computer related systems. Provides training and support in basic and advanced uses of a wide variety of computer equipment to include workstations, printers, digitizing equipment, and all associated accessory equipment. Develop and implement solutions for improving the efficiency of UNICOR operations by automating repetitive routine functions. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis. Additional information In accordance with 5 U.S.C. 3307, a maximum entry age of 36 has been established for original appointment to a position in a Bureau of Prisons institution. The representative rate for this position is $97,485 per annum ($46.71 per hour). Special Conditions of Employment Section: The incumbent is subject to geographic relocation to meet the needs of the agency. Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of a urinalysis, physical, and background investigation. All applicants are subject to National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and credit checks. All applicants not currently working in an institution will be required to complete a qualification inquiry regarding convictions of misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence in order to be authorized to carry a firearm.
