Successful completion of a home health aide training program approved by the State of Connecticut Department of Health or a student LPN or RN who has successfully completed 75 hours of theoretical and clinical instruction in the fundamental skills of nursing approved by the CT DPH. Successful completion of a home health aide competency evaluation program approved by the State of CT DPH Successful completion of a new competency evaluation program, if there has been a consecutive period of 24 months that the home health aide has not performed nursing-related services for monetary compensation. All Home Health Aides are required to have a valid CT driver's license, a clean driving record, and a car available for work purposes as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities
* 1. Responsibilities

Qualifications
EDUCATION

LICENSURE
Certification is phlebotomy is a plus but not required.
SPECIAL SKILLS
The phlebotomy activity requires manual dexterity with an excellent fine motor skills. Working with patients directly, a great deal of emphases is placed on patient interpersonal skills.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Phlebotomy may require extended periods of standing bent over patients, walking throughout the hospital carrying a basket and using the stairs. Computer work in an average laboratory setting. May be required to enter isolation rooms using proper isolation technique including proper mask fitting.
