    Non-Union/Confidential Scope of Work: The Assistant Coordinator of Sites and Facilities supports the planning, coordination, and management of all activities related to the care, maintenance, and improvement of district facilities and grounds. Reporting to the Coordinator of Sites and Facilities, this position plays a key role in helping to ensure that all district buildings are safe, clean, and well-maintained in accordance with Board of Education policies and regulatory requirements. The Assistant Coordinator will work closely with custodial and maintenance teams across the district, assist in developing preventative maintenance and energy management plans, and support construction, repairs, and improvement projects. This individual will also serve as a liaison with contractors, vendors, and municipal officials as directed by the Coordinator of Sites and Facilities. Primary Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Coordinator of Sites & Facilities, the Assistant Coordinator will: Support the daily operations and general oversight of custodial and maintenance functions across all district facilities. Conduct building and grounds inspections and assist in identifying and addressing maintenance needs. Help supervise custodial and maintenance staff and maintain related records, including attendance and compensation, as assigned. Assist in the development and implementation of procedures, standards, and forms for effective operations and resource utilization. Support the Coordinator in preparing bid specifications, monitoring vendor and contractor performance, and verifying materials compliance. Participate in construction and improvement project oversight and coordination with architects, inspectors, and city officials. Assist in preparing and monitoring custodial and maintenance budgets. Assist in the administration of the work order system and develop preventative maintenance as needed. Contribute to preventative maintenance, energy efficiency, and security planning efforts. Maintain records related to energy consumption and environmental compliance. Support training initiatives related to health, safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g., indoor air quality, MSDS, integrated pest management). Stay current with best practices and trends in facility management and recommend improvements where appropriate. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining department staff as needed. Help manage building rental logistics and provide assistance during district and community events. Attend district committee and Board of Education meetings when required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in site and facilities operations, preferably within a school setting. Experience working with bargaining units and public sector personnel preferred. Demonstrated ability to support the management of operational budgets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service mindset. Ability to work collaboratively and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with procurement, safety compliance, and building maintenance regulations. Public speaking ability and comfort working with diverse stakeholders. Technologically proficient and detail-oriented. Working Conditions: 12-Month, Exempt Position Full Benefits Package 12:00pm - 8:30pm; Summer hours may vary.
