Danfoss Power Solutions is seeking an experienced Tactical Buyer to play a key role in the daily purchasing of direct material from external suppliers. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be organized and able to work in a very high paced environment. This position will be in Van Wert, Ohio and reporting to the Purchasing Manager of the site.
**What You'll Be Doing**
+ Managing and optimizing day-to-day purchasing processes for a group of suppliers.
+ Placing Purchase Orders to ensure arrival of material to support production and customer needs.
+ Monitoring Purchase Orders and following up on orders that are past due.
+ Creating Inbound Deliveries in a timely manner to support a smooth receiving process.
+ Monitor exception message reports, and work with suppliers to move Purchase Order dates when forecasts are adjusted.
+ Uncover and report any issues in the supply chain (stock losses, incorrect forecasts, abnormal demands, and safety stock adjustments).
+ Provide updates to Customer Service and Schedulers on when direct material is expected to arrive.
+ Review and update parameters as needed (lead-time, minimum order quantities, order periods, order mulitples, etc).

Job Responsibilities
Machine Operators work safely and efficiently to perform the manual labor tasks in the production process such as:
Operate and troubleshoot production machinery and performing minor repairs, as necessary.
Load and unload the furnace and performing detailed quality checks of completed pieces.
* New Hires may be required to train on the 1st Shift which may take several weeks depending on the position and how quickly someone can meet the Individual Training Standards before being permanently assigned FT to this shift.

Reporting to the Implementation Services Manager the Software Configuration Analyst is responsible for the configuration of the software to meet AQI customers' business needs. Working with a project team, you will take will documented solutions and implement them using standard features of our software and integration points. This position is part of the North America team located in United States and will be remote. Note: This position requires a final in person interview onsite. The first 30 days for the successful candidate may require them to be onsite for onboarding.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Collaborate with Implementation Specialists and Project Managers to understand project requirements and Statements of Work.
Assist in developing and reviewing solution documentation, ensuring clarity and accurate time estimates.
Develop and install data management software, including databases, variables, calculations, reports, and data entry forms.
Verify software functionality to ensure deliverables meet customer expectations and project specifications.
Document all project activities and deliverables in the project management tracking system.
Travel the 10% of the time national or internationally to attend different events.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in data analysis or software configuration.
Minimum 3 years of experience in data management, software configuration, or equivalent technical role.
Proficiency in Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word), with demonstrated ability to develop and configure data management software (databases, variables, calculations, reports, and data entry forms).

Program Design

He/she manages daily activities of application engineers that review customer's technical needs and recommends specific products/service solutions to meet those requirements. This includes regular interaction with the customer and ensuring they have a desirable experience from the quote process to the product implementation. A key measureable is developing opportunities that ultimately result in new business wins. Responsible for performance evaluations, group measures, budget, setting work direction, exercising sound engineering judgement, approval of documents and creating and implementing the strategy.What You'll Be Doing
Pursue and win new business opportunities through quoting our core products and utilizing the manufacturing strategy to offer the customer the best value added solution. Launching the business into manufacturing plants through a seamless process that provides an overall desirable customer experience.
Evaluate and implement initiatives that provide cost effective solutions to the customer, resulting in an overall reduced cost.
Establish and maintain scorecard measures to review progress, evaluate results and initiate change. Use the scorecard to drive the right behaviors.
Maintain an engineering organizational structure that supports the BU business and engineering strategy. This includes organizational capability assessments, conducting cross training, succession planning and building the bench strength.
Ensure clear goals, development plans, objectives and measures are in place. Complete performance appraisals in-line with the BU guidance. Evaluate and optimize skill sets for each employee. Provide timely, honest and objective feedback.
Assesses individuals and groups, delegates tasks and decisions down and across, empowers others, gives input.
Develop an application engineering strategy both short-term and long-term that is in-line with the BU strategy. Communicate this strategy to the team that creates a vision and a sense of purpose for each individual.
Interact with the customer to understand their specifications and application, outlining the value add that Danfoss provides with our products.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering, Engineering Management
10+ years developing product / processes / working with applications.
10+ years of experience in Fluid Conveyance products and component design
Demonstrated use of advanced Engineering or Project Management methods
Proficient in MS Office, Salesforce, ERP Systems (SAP Preferred), Power BI, Teamcenter
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Engineering Preferred
IFPS Certification
Six Sigma Green Belt Preferred
