1947

Founded in 1947, Danos is a family-owned and managed oilfield service provider.

In 1957, just ten years after the company was founded, Syriaque Curole passed away leaving the company reins with Allen Danos Sr.

1971

The company began work for Shell almost immediately following the blowout, but the work was done on the basis of a handshake for several months until a contract was finally signed in mid-1971.

2010

The company continued to grow its customer base, and in 2010, began working with British Petroleum, managing a significant portion of the Macondo response.

2012

In 2012, Danos and Curole rebranded and changed the company name to Danos.

2015

A fire in July 2015 destroyed the old location, but it didn’t destroy the memories or the spirit of the Dano’s family.

2016

In 2016, Danos employees submitted nearly 17,000 W.A.T.C.H. cards.

2018

When he opened the new Dano’s Lakeside Pub on Turkeyfoot Lake in November 2018, many of his employees returned to continue the tradition.

He probably also never imagined that the services his company provides would come to be so highly-regarded that its original customer, Gulf Oil, would remain a customer – in the form of Gulf’s successor company Chevron – in 2018.
