Knowledge in managing and understanding physical security assets, as well as supporting and executing contract agreements with security service vendors, is preferred.     The Environmental Specialist is responsible for maintaining Environmental Health & Safety compliance requirements at the CRT facility and assisting with operations for CRCT and CRNF conducted at the facility. The primary role will be to assist with maintenance and operation of environmental remediation systems (groundwater and LNAPL recovery), groundwater and soil sampling events (typically semi-annually), and tasks required to maintain continuous environmental operations, including 24/7 emergency response to recovery system alarms and other spills. This work will be completed in compliance with EPA and KDHE approved sampling plans, remediation work plans, and quality assurance plans. The employee will also assist with day-to-day operations at CRT, including system operational checks, troubleshooting and cleaning equipment, handling raw materials during recovery efforts (typically petroleum oil-based materials), and any requested maintenance activities. Additionally, they will assist with recordkeeping responsibilities, which includes data entry of necessary environmental data for monthly reporting. Occasionally, the employee will be required to travel and assist at other facilities with active remediation or spill response (CRRM, CRCT, and WRC). EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Degree in Environmental Science or related field desired or commensurate experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS With BA/BS degree, no experience required; without degree, minimum of 2 years' commensurate experience required. Data entry of groundwater elevation and LNAPL recovery measurements on a periodic basis. Maintain CRNF operations and assist with UAN loading. This includes unloading rail cars, assisting drivers with electronic systems, and responding to alarms at the loading rack at any time of day. Conduct facility maintenance and housekeeping projects as necessary. Assist management with developing and updating CVR policy and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements and company expectations. EXPECTED RESULTS Maintain and document assigned activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for subject, timeliness, and frequency. Maintain facility assets to eliminate workplace hazards and support the business function of the terminal Establish and maintain a high level of customer service with internal clients, including employees, supervisors, and facility management.
