Darigold is seeking a motivated Dryer Operator to join our plant in Pasco, WA. As a member of the Operations team, this person should possess the desire and ability to contribute to the success of the plant. Our plants create nutritious products 24/7, 365 days a year- availability to work multiple shifts, including weekends and holidays is a must! The ideal candidate for this role excels in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple repetitive tasks. You have a strong attention to detail and are committed to producing high quality product. You also enjoy working with others to achieve team goals but can work independently without direct supervision. Must be available to work any shift. What You Will Do * Operate, but not limited to the following milk processing equipment: Dryers, Dryer concentrate equipment and all associated equipment. * Maintain efficiency standards set for the operating area; Contribute improvement ideas and initiatives; Work with a Waste Reduction Mentality. * Performs CIP and sanitation of the equipment in the Main Dryer area, Dryer concentrate area and associated equipment; maintains organization of the work area; and performs ongoing cleaning and preventative maintenance tasks in compliance with good manufacturing practices. * Operate processing equipment to achieve and maintain finished products results within target specifications. * Perform Quality Tests and component tests on milk constituents in accordance with company or regulatory guidelines. * Perform routine equipment inspections. * Ensures that tagging and identifying notifications on tanks are correct and recorded properly. * Maintain accurate documentation as required. * Submits timely and accurate reports. * Assist with training new personnel. * Maintain clean and safe work area. * Follow all company safety, working, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies. * Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. * Due to the nature of products produced and customer requirements, the entire dryer room facility will be categorized as a hi-care area. Darigold is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to be a part of Darigold's Pasco plant. The Pasco Team Maintenance Manager must possess the desire and ability to lead the maintenance function. As a member of the Pasco Team the Maintenance Manager will be a partner in the Operations Division. The Maintenance Manager's role is to lead the Pasco Team maintenance function including both managing staff and fiscal responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned): * Will Manage a maintenance staff in a plant that operates 24/7. * Provides on and off hour emergency response including equipment repair, damage control, and assignment of personnel as needed. * Administers department budget within established guidelines, oversees new capital expenditure items including equipment purchases, contracted labor, and in-house construction and fabrication projects. * Develop and deliver on maintenance programs with an emphasis towards OEE-based performance. * Oversee plant utilities including steam generation, power distribution, chillers, glycol heating and cooling, cooling towers, domestic tempered water, plant HVAC systems, water distribution systems, fire suppression, etc. * Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve plant reliability including defect handling, CIL (clean inspect lubricate), breakdown analysis, etc. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Experience in dairy or food processing required, drying operations preferred. * Demonstrated knowledge and experience in all phases of maintenance and repair to include mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and building maintenance, wastewater treatment, boiler operation and maintenance, and refrigeration. * Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS). * Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining process control software. * Experience in dealing with regulatory agencies. * Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team in continuous improvement activities. * Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and project management skills. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions * Must be able to lift 50 pounds. * In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours. * Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. * Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. * Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. * Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit. * Ability to work in a wet and cold environment. * Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
