Darigold is looking for a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) to join our HR field team based in Pasco, Washington. The HRG plays a key role in delivering a seamless employee experience. The HRG supports the employee lifecycle, which starts with the onboarding & orientation process, and they serve as a resource for employees and managers at all levels of the organization in responding to HR questions. They are responsible for completing a variety of tasks to assist the daily operations of the HR department, such as ensuring our HRIS system is accurately updated with employee information, administer HR & compliance processes, drafting templates for HR documents, and conducting exit interviews. What You Will Do HR Lifecycle * Handles employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters and seek solutions. * Help creating organizational guidelines and maintaining updated processes. * Maintain electronic filing system. * Update records to accommodate new hires. * Responsible for coordination and onboarding new employees making them to feel welcome to Darigold. * Processes employee promotions, transfers, and changes for employees coordinating with corporate HR teams and business. * Come up with ideas to motivate employees and embrace a "Best Place to work" culture. * Supports employee terminations by writing termination letters employees, sending required notices and conducting exit interviews. * Completes annual required compliance trainings (EEO, FCPA, safety vehicle training), and professional development training programs. * Pull reports to share with leaders. * Completes regular audits of HR data and files, including but not limited to i9, FLSA and salary grade. * Maintains HR Team Resources on SharePoint, including development and maintenance of HR Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs). * Partner with corporate HR teams to implement key company initiatives. * Participate in meetings with business leaders and employees representing the HR team and providing updates on key HR projects such as performance review, employee survey, and listen to employee's feedback regarding their experience working at Darigold. * Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on site location, as well as share best practices with the rest of the team. * Collaborates with plant management team to track temporary employee, follows up with managers to ensure timely termination and deprovisioning of accounts. * Develops hiring and manager tools to support successful onboarding including conducting orientation with new employees. * Coordinates employee onboarding with internal resources (IT, Office Services, Hiring Manager). The mission for this position is to support the Quality Department through additional oversight of lab personnel, batch paperwork review and data entry, cross-training, and coordinating and assisting with special projects to ensure timely completion of all department goals. The right person for this role will understand food processing and have experience meeting food safety and quality requirements. This is a critical role, requiring working cross-functionally with multiple teams. Summary: The Director of Manufacturing Engineering has oversight of the teams that maintain processing equipment in Alaska Shoreplants and Vessels including Baader machines, electrical systems, and conveyance systems. Capital Projects Planning and Execution: Identifies capital project needs and prepares assessments on resource needs and capital requirements. Creates business cases to support projects that include ROI, gap analysis and risk assessment. Works closely with Capital Projects team to develop implementation plans. Participates in cross-functional teams as a technical expert to support implementation of large-scale capital projects. Equipment Management: Develops and oversees the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs. Works with production teams to ensure maintenance schedules support production needs. Establishes, prepares, and maintains policies and procedures related to maintenance of equipment. Develops, implements, and oversees key metrics that drive productivity including but not limited to: Consistent fish sizing Machine yield Down-time reduction Effective preventative maintenance spending Improved automation (headcount reduction) Directs and oversees installation of new equipment and enhancements as needed. Team Management: Sets and communicates goals and objectives for Engineering teams to align with company strategic goals. Develops and maintains a culture of continuous improvement through TWOW and other company initiatives. Works with HR team to conduct needs analyses in order to review and right size positions and structure needed in each location. Creates and oversees rotation plan for engineering team employees. Oversees transfer and utilization of personnel across locations as needed to maximize labor efficiency. Additional Responsibilities: Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings Travel to Alaska as needed (35-50%) and sometimes on short notice. Minimum Requirements Required Qualifications: 10+ years' experience with manufacturing engineering, including preventative maintenance, automation, conveyance, etc. Prior work experience directly managing a team. Experience successfully completing ROI, gap analysis, capital and risk assessment for major capital projects. Preferred Education & Experiences: Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Direct experience in Alaska fisheries. Work environment (includes travel/on-call): Ability to travel to various locations, including remote Alaska, typically 35-50%. When not travelling, this is position is based onsite at the Trident Office in our Tacoma Yard location, with the possibility of remote work on Fridays.
