General Purpose

Address all employee performance problems promptly and directly in accordance with personnel policies.
Oversee performance statistics. Review and monitor shipment documentation for accuracy. Examine various documents including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and documentation of imported/exported products.
Compute duties, tariffs, price conversions, weight, and volume of merchandise exported/imported to and from foreign destinations. Communicate with customs officials as appropriate to obtain release of incoming freight and resolve delays.
Establish, monitor, and revise policies, procedures and service standard for customs clearance operations as dictated and allowed by applicable regulations. Ensure all policies and procedures are consistently administered.
Identify areas of concern in clients' import and export processes through monitoring of team performance against company and client standards, regular audit of shipment documents and accounting, and periodic client reviews.
Communicate with operations manager regarding progress and problems or issues. Maintain flexible work schedule include outside normal business hours and after hours on call rotation.
Effectively participate in and/or supervise department projects related to assigned area of responsibility.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, Minimum four years related experience.
Minimum three year supervisory experience;
Bachelor's Degree in International Business, Logistics or Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Finance or related discipline preferred or equivalent combination of work experience and education.

Credentials:
Working knowledge of ITAR, Import Brokerage, Export Compliance, Hazmat Regulations and recordkeeping; Some professional certifications may be required.

Job Summary:
Provides leadership and supervision to production work teams and serves as the link to plant management for the team on the 3rd shift (11pm-7am). **JOB SUMMARY:** Directs and coordinates the day-to-day shift activities, by providing leadership and supervision to subordinates and serves as the link between direct reports and middle/upper management. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
**JOB FUNCTIONS:** _Job functions include, but are not limited to the following_
+ Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes and methods, machine and equipment capabilities, and human resource requirements and capabilities.
+ Makes decisions on job assignments and work priorities.
+ Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and downtime.
+ Responsible for equipment condition and department housekeeping.
+ Researches, compiles and prepares reports, correspondence, and other information required by management, as well as identifies and resolves report discrepancies or errors.
+ Works with employees to maintain a safe work environment. Leads and supports subordinates to work in a safe manner and to seek improvements in work practices.
+ Ensures that product quality and production efficiencies meet or exceed established standards.
+ Examines procedures and recommends changes to save time, labor, and other costs and to improve quality control and operating efficiency.
+ Supervises and coordinates activities of support resources such as quality, maintenance, shipping and receiving, and technical trainers.
+ Observes subordinates to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
+ Verifies completeness and accuracy of subordinates' work, computations, and records.
+ Participates in work of subordinates to facilitate productivity or overcome difficult aspects of work.
+ Instructs subordinates in job duties or arranges for training to be provided.
+ Facilitates team meetings, intervenes as necessary to keep the team's goals and results consistent with company direction, and works with the team members to develop their full potential.
+ Initiates and conducts personnel actions such as discipline, performance evaluations, and payroll.
+ Evaluates subordinate job performance and recommends appropriate personnel action.
+ Administer, communicate and interpret work procedures and company policies to subordinates
+ Provides subordinates with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving grievances or submits unsettled disputes to management.

**BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:**
+ Manufacturing experience preferred.
+ Experience operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts and clamp trucks preferred.
+ Leadership skills - ability to motivate people to perform at high levels.

**EDUCATION / KNOWLEDGE:**
+ High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.

**SKILLS:**

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
+ MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
+ REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
+ COMPUTER/OFFICE EQUIPMENT SKILLS - SAP, MS Office and database programs; requires use of all general office equipment (e.g. fax, copier, telephone, etc.).
+ CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS - Company issued Fork Truck Operator's License; Company issued Clamp Truck Operator's License.
**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**

+ General schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment, however, employee must be willing to work alternate schedules occasionally; that may include early mornings, nights, and/or weekends and be punctual while doing so.

MISSION / SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to work directly with and supervise a production workforce of approximately 50+/- employees per shift. **Job Functions**
+ Responsible for managing hourly employees in our Finishing and Forming departments.
+ Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
+ Educate and implement knowledge of straight line gluers and

**Required Skills**
+ Ability to effectively lead a team of 50 - 75 hourly union employees.
+ Effective at time management and delegation to the team.
+ Supervisory experience preferred, preferably within the folding carton environment, experienced with multi-fold gluer machines, as well as straight line gluers.
+ Lean/5S knowledgeable.
+ OSHA certified in safety and emergency response a plus.
+ Computer skills required.
+ Experience with SAP preferred.
+ Ability to work 12 hour shift schedule, including weekends.
**Required Experience**
+ High School Diploma or GED required
+ 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment
