Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the overall clinical, technical and administrative functions at the location on record regarding the PAP Therapy program. * Responsible for the installation/setup of respiratory therapy equipment (CPAP, AutoPAP, BiPAP) and provision of all needed supplies and products to the patients and ongoing assessment of patients and equipment. * Is responsible for contacting patients to schedule setups of equipment and explain the clinical benefits of PAP therapy and dangers of sleep apnea * Is responsible for clinical contact with the physician, referred contacts, health care practitioners, and others involved in the care of the patients referred to Sleep Management, LLC d/b/a VieMed for home respiratory therapy services. * Is responsible for the maintenance of records, charting, progress notes, clinical files, equipment records, preventative maintenance records, and other necessary documentation. * Is responsible to ensure all pertinent demographic information is updated regularly and with any change in personal or professional status. * Is responsible for the overseeing of all applicable regulatory rules and guidelines as pertains to the staff respiratory therapist. * Is responsible for orientation and training of subordinate or newly hired respiratory therapist staff service technicians. * Exhibits effective written and verbal communication skills. Adheres to cost-containment policies and procedures. * Works with the office staff to ensure prompt and accurate billing and documentation of services, including providing adequate information to satisfy third-party payor guidelines for coverage. * Works with all clinical, managerial, and sales staff to promote and market home respiratory therapist services to all referral sources. * Ensures proper, accurate, and safe operation of all equipment prior to installation. * Is required to provide availability for patient contact and response to patient needs. * Will work with team members (other RTs, PCC's and various departments) to ensure tasks are completed. * Other duties/projects as assigned. Job Summary: As a Respiratory Therapist, you will conduct physician-prescribed treatments, such as administering oxygen, medications, and aerosols. You'll also perform critical care therapies, manage ventilators, and conduct diagnostic procedures like pulmonary function studies and arterial sampling. Your work will be vital to assessing and improving patient respiratory status, collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver the best care possible. Key Responsibilities: Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen, aerosols, and medications. Provide critical care, including ventilator and airway management. Conduct diagnostic procedures such as pulmonary function tests, oximetry, and arterial sampling. Maintain respiratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment. Accurately document treatments and patient responses. Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to assess and monitor patient status. Be available for on-call duties as required.

Sets up and operates various types of oxygen and other therapeutic equipment. Administers prescribed doses of medicinal gases and aerosolized drugs. Responsibilities Reviews existing data in patient record. Collects and evaluates additional pertinent clinical information by inspection, palpation, percussion, auscultation and patient interview. Inspects chest x-ray to determine presence of or changes in consolidation, atelectasis, pneumothorax, opacification, position of tracheal tube and other conditions. Recommends respiratory care alternatives to meet patient care objectives. Recommends the collection of additional pertinent data through chest x-ray, blood gas analysis, pulmonary function studies, and other laboratory tests. Performs and evaluates bedside spirometry, pulmonary mechanics and pulmonary function studies. Determines appropriateness of prescribed therapy and goals for identified pathophysiological state. Selects, assembles and checks the equipment for proper function, operation and cleanliness, including correction of malfunctions. Performs procedures for disinfection and sterilization. Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve maintenance of a patient airway, including maintenance of adequate humidification, use of appropriate oro-nasopharyngeal airways, and changing of tracheostomy tubes. Explains planned therapy and goals to patient. Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve removal of bronchopulmonary secretions, and administers prescribed pharmacologic agents. Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate spontaneous and artificial ventilation. Conducts prescribed therapeutic procedures to achieve adequate oxygenation including adjustment of oxygen concentration, adjustment of PEEP/CPAP, and prevention of "iatrogenic" hypoxemia. Evaluates and monitors patient's response to respiratory therapy. Modifies treatment techniques based on patient response to IPPB, incentive breathing devices, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy and mechanical ventilation. Initiates, conducts and modifies respiratory therapy techniques in an emergency setting, including CPR, monitoring and patient transport. Records therapy and results as required by hospital policy and regulating agencies; communicates information to appropriate members of health care team. May assist physician performing bronchoscopy, tracheostomy, and invasive monitoring. Develops education and training programs, and conducting of in-service training for departmental and non-departmental staff. Performs other duties as required or assigned.
