Justin Ferguson is a senior attorney with significant experience representing both public and private companies with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities, SEC compliance, corporate finance, technology transactions, corporate governance matters, dispute resolution, international matters, strategic planning and board matters.

Laura Larsen-Misunas serves as Chief People Officer for DZS. Mrs. Larsen-Misunas has held several progressively advancing administration and human resources management roles since joining DZS in 2000, for a total of more than twenty years of experience in the telecommunications industry.

Most recently at Ascend Communications, she established the company’s first Risk Management department, managing day to day cash, long term investments, and the foreign exchange program. Prior to Ascend, Mrs. Larsen-Misunas was a successful account manager and executive in the financial and insurance industries, having worked for Marsh and Willis.

Mrs. Larsen-Misunas holds a B.S. in Marketing from California State University San Francisco.

Andrew Bender serves as Chief Technology Officer for DZS, where he is responsible for developing, coordinating, and promoting the technology strategy for the company. He joined DZS in October 2020 to help expand the solutions space for DZS to SDN, mobile broadband and 5G technologies.

Mr. Bender has over 20 years of broad ranging experience in the carrier networking, infrastructure and software sectors spanning Kubernetes and cloud native, webscale applications, NFV, SDN, mobile access / edge / core, video and streaming media, IMS / RCS, DOCSIS, multiservice access and transport network technology areas.

Prior to DZS, Mr. Bender led the team of technologists covering the service provider industry in the Americas at VMWare. He has also held various technology, strategy, solutions, architecture and engineering roles at Hewlett Packard, NEC, Ribbon Communications / GENBAND, and others.

After spending more than a decade in the telecom equipment vendor community brand building and fostering the growth of the broadband industry from early adopter stage to global mass deployment, I have now set my sights on championing the next stage of broadband growth as Chief Marketing Officer of the industry’s largest and influential standards and collaborative body - The Broadband Forum. The explosion of IOT devices and the emergence of 5G networks and the Cloud will redefine how everyone in the world communicates. It will also create opportunities for new service provider business models and subscriber experiences. I want to tell these stories, and highlight the role of the Broadband Forum as a key enabler of this promising future. As founder of Modulus Marketing Advisors, I’ll also be helping many of the key pioneers of next generation broadband innovation successfully share their stories, and in doing so reach their potential while redefining the limits of the broadband user experience.
