Summary of the Role:
SunPower is looking for a DataAnalyst to join its Energy Analytics team and assist with dashboarding, tracking key metrics, and ad hoc analytical projects. This role will report to the Energy Analytics Data Scientist. The ideal candidate will be very comfortable in SQL with a desire to further their technical and analytical skills, as there will be substantial opportunity to learn and grow professionally in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Build dashboards to track energy production performance and potential reporting anomalies
Develop standardized queries to aid future investigations
Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested and present key findings
Work with our data scientists as they explore solar energy production compared to typical weather, actual weather, and modeled panel performance
Related Experience and Education Requirements
1-5 years of professional experience using SQL
Experience working with real-world inconsistent or incomplete datasets
Experience calculating and tracking metrics or KPIs
Natural curiosity to explore complex datasets and connect them to how the business is managed
Experience investigating data anomalies and summarizing key learnings and recommended follow-ups
Experience building data visualizations and dashboards
Optional Qualifications
Proficiency with Python or a similar language is a plus but not required
Experience building monitoring systems or dashboards is a plus but not required
Desire to learn data science topics such as machine learning, anomaly detection, classification, or regression is a plus but not required
