About The Job In this exciting internship opportunity, you will gain hands-on experience using our engineering systems such as Aspen Basic Engineering, Smart P&ID, Smart Instrumentation, Smart 3D, and various in-house developed industry leading systems. You will directly contribute to innovative engineering projects and learn how to deliver exceptional value to clients. Working alongside a talented team of engineering tool administrators, information managers, and engineering discipline leads, you will help create, maintain, and deliver transformative solutions like the engineering data warehouse, data querying & auditing, data visualization, and digital twin. As a Data Science-Programming Intern, you will: Learn how to leverage a data-centric approach to enhance downstream data consumption, ensure seamless digital integration, and support the development towards digital twin solutions. Become familiar with the daily operations within one of the engineering systems and produce deliverables that contribute towards the output of an engineering project Have an opportunity to explore the underlying data behind an engineering system, present a data auditing or visualization proposal, and develop it into a working proof-of-concept Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to promote effective communication, facilitate problem-solving, and assist in building solutions. Develop and demonstrate strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to foster collaboration and resolve issues efficiently. About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements: Minimum Qualifications: Entering 2nd year of college or higher and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (with specialization into Data Science or Data Analytics preferred) Additional major in engineering is a strong plus Languages: English with Professional Proficiency. Other languages could be useful as well when working with our overseas execution centers Effective communicator (spoken and written) Able to collaborate and be nimble to support others when necessary Problem solver with a strong desire to improve efficiency Preferred Skills: Exposure to data analytical and/or programming projects. Familiarity with querying in SQL, Oracle, or Access is strongly recommended Familiarity with PowerBI is a recommended Basic programming skills in VBA, VB.NET, Python, or C# is plus.
