The Data Analyst Intern will help to drive informed decision-making by extracting insights from diverse data sources. Research Data Analyst Assist with organizing and analyzing research data, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Perform data entry and prepare basic visualizations and reports using software such as Excel or Tableau. Support team efforts by maintaining datasets, performing quality checks, and documenting processes. Collaborate with senior analysts to learn and implement statistical methods for research projects. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Lead under the guidance of the PI, qualitative data collection activities, including semi-structured interviews and focus groups, with the assistance of an undergraduate research assistant and research volunteers Lead coding and analysis of qualitative data under the guidance of the PI Contribute to the preparation and submission of grants and Institutional Review Board ( IRB ) applications and amendments to ensure ethical conduct of qualitative research studies. Participate in other tasks needed to support research projects that align with individual interests and strengths. Prepare and contribute to scientific presentations, abstracts, and manuscripts for conferences and peer-reviewed publications Support participant study enrollment and informed consent processes. Support qualitative data management using platforms such as REDCap. Knowledge in vision screening to detect eye disorders such as amblyopia, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy, as well as general ophthalmology or optometric clinical care practices, a plus (but not required). This intern will provide support for camera operations in North America and provide research on internal projects to verify completeness of projects. 50% - Aids in performing duties such as: operating and troubleshooting computer hardware and software to solve problems or issues from camera operators around North America. Reaching out to camera operators to investigate issues, working with other teams to solve issues, and helping build knowledge articles for future use. Improves processes by assisting in process design and implementation and ensures optimal performance by conducting routine maintenance on hardware and workstations. 45% - Work with spreadsheets and databases to verify completeness of projects by reviewing internal systems and comparing them to outside sources such as websites and other internal systems. 5% - Set up or take down of equipment in various locations around North America.
