Requirements
The Investment Research Analyst position is primarily responsible for supporting the advisory team and servicing client requests for investment information in a timely manner. The successful candidate will be capable of gathering information from various sources, including internal investment systems, research analysts, portfolio management teams and written/electronic news publications. As part of the Investment Team, this role is primarily responsible for client related tasks as they pertain to investment topics. The tasks include communication with clients – indirect (preparing client information, presentation materials, research info for advisors & clients, and quarterly updates); and direct (in-person meetings, client calls, and written correspondence). Additional duties include research (client portfolio performance, investment ideas, manager searches, and technology); and providing backup support for trading and investment operations. Supporting family advisors is also a key attribute in the role.
Research analysts must have knowledge of financial markets, investment acumen, willingness to learn, congenial demeanor, and be a team player. This role will communicate, coordinate, and support the investment team’s interactions with other departments – client service, operations, and family advisors/wealth planners.
Client portfolio research/communication
Activities include analyzing individual client portfolios and communicating findings to clients and/or advisors
Responsible for formatting, generating, and distributing client reports – performance, attribution, insights, etc.
Prepare cash reports, review cash positions, and disseminate to advisory and client service teams for input
Coordinate with Portfolio Analyst to monitor and review client portfolios regularly to make recommendations to clients &/or advisory team.
Client communication related to capital markets, investing environment, and individual portfolio insights
Participate in client meetings to impart recommendations and investment information
Ad hoc client research requests and investment recommendations
Administers client information related to investment portfolio
Utilize various investment systems and analytical tools to produce client reports
Create client books used in portfolio review meetings
Write quarterly investment commentaries for fixed income products
Generate customized responses/reports to ad hoc requests
Complete consultant questionnaires
Verify internal data output to ensure accuracy
Develop ways to streamline departmental process
Stay informed on capital markets and meet with representatives from asset managers and research firms to gain a better understanding of market conditions and domestic and global developments that may impact client account balances or future investments.
Contribute research insights & analysis, provide investment ideas, content creation for IC meetings. Regularly observes systems for best improvement processes and best practice improvements.
Identifies areas of improvement – processes/systems - automated or streamlined.

Benefits
The pay range for the Analyst position is $68,000 to $ 91,000 per year, which represents pay for those of varying levels of qualification and experience. Most new hires are hired lower in the pay range and provided opportunities to elevate pay over time. We also have a bonus program for project performance as well as yearly performance.
Health, dental, and vision insurance effective the first day of the month following 30 days of continuous employment. At this time, Parker Remick covers all insurance premiums for employees who work at least 35 hours per week.
