The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional experienced in partnering with data analysts, stewards, SMEs, and data owners to advance Data Analytics initiatives. They possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, advanced SQL, and solid proficiency with Power BI or similar tools, including DAX for creating actionable visualizations. They are knowledgeable in modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, including designing and optimizing semantic models, pipelines, and data workflows. Preferred candidates also bring working knowledge of Python, R, or SAS to support cross-functional analytical projects. GENERAL PURPOSE Under direction, applies complex statistical and other methods and tools in performing analyses of data sets across the organization to produce analytical results and data dashboards and other visualizations to meet business stakeholder information and decision-making needs; uses established processes to prepare datasets for analysis; develops documentation for datasets and assist others in their use; assists senior enterprise data staff in preparing datasets for inclusion in the organization's data platform; and performs related duties as assigned. DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of: Basic theory and principles of data architecture design and development, including logical and physical data modeling, design and flow diagramming and design of data pipelines and ETL methods; physical, virtual and cloud-based data platforms and database management systems and software including data warehouses and database languages; data security concepts, best practices and methodologies; statistical, mathematical and extrapolative methods and related software and associated programming and scripting languages; software and tools used in the development of data visualizations and interactive dashboards; network architectures and general principles of network design and integration; principles, practices and methods of systems administration; general project management tools and techniques; principles and practices of sound business communication; customer relationship management concepts and practices. Training and Experience: A typical way of obtaining the knowledges, skills and abilities outlined above is graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in management information systems, data or information science, statistics, mathematics, business administration or a closely related field; and three years of progressively responsible experience in the development, administration and utilization of complex datasets and related statistical research, analysis and interpretation; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. An advanced degree in a relevant field is desirable but not required.
