The Data Use Analyst supports the Data Use Team in conducting essential data support activities to facilitate the departments data-driven decision-making process.
How you make a difference in this role:
With guidance from the Senior Director of Data Use, the individual will be responsible for maintaining the critical data assets of the Data Use Team and conducting in-depth exploratory analyses of any novel datasets as assigned. In addition, the individual will fulfill various data requests the department receives and contribute to providing data support to program teams as requested. The Data Use Analyst will also help ensure seamless team logistics and operations by supporting the coordination of the data request process.
Job Overview:
The department is seeking an individual who is skilled in data analytics and statistical programming, as well as passionate about collaborating with various program teams to provide data products to support the departments critical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Support:
Conduct in-depth exploratory analyses of assigned datasets from various data sources to identify potential data quality issues and calculate basic summary statistics.
Present the findings of these analyses to the team.
In addition, conduct requested data cleaning required to support the ongoing work of the Data Use Team by collaborating with appropriate team members.
Establish and maintain detailed documentation on data cleaning protocols and relevant business rules.
Annual Reporting:
Complete recurring state and federal reporting requirements as assigned.
Data Requests:
Fulfill both internal and external data requests in a timely and accurate manner.
Provide other data support to program teams across the department as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience: Possession of a master's degree in education, education administration or other related field and substantial educational work experience (5 or more years) including 3 years of education administration or supervisory work.

The Analyst provides research support to DU leadership, as well as to development staff members, to inform development strategies and advance potential donor relationships. The Prospect Research Analyst qualifies, screens, and rates potential donors, and proactively identifies new prospective donors. Primary responsibilities include:
Conduct proactive research to identify new potential major and principal gift donors using news alerts, a review of weekly gift reports, wealth screening, and other methods.
Conduct quarterly prospect review sessions with assigned fundraisers to ensure accurate and up-to-date opportunities, status information and portfolio size and health.

What is the schedule? Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this. This is not a remote position.

Has a college degree with an emphasis in a business-related field
Significant knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel is required
Experience in PowerBI is preferred

Fulfill core data analytics developer accountabilities:

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree is required

5+ years' experience in banking and finance
5+ years' experience programming skills with querying languages: SQL, SAS, R, Python, etc.
3-5 years' experience in developing analytics reports and dashboards, preferably PowerBI
3-5 years' experience working with and creating data extracts
3+ years' experience in Data visualization and dashboard/report development
Experience integrating multiple components of the Microsoft BI Stack, with specific emphasis on Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate and Azure services
Experience with both on-prem SQL server and Azure Databricks cloud data environments
Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes
Knowledge of industry leading practices in Analytics
Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills and experience with agile methodologies preferred
