Responsibilities


The Charge Capture Specialist II is responsible for reviewing clinical documentation to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant charge capture. He/she works as an educational resource to inform and educate departments on the latest government regulation and requirements, including CMS, the State, and payer regulations related to these charges. The Charge Capture Specialist II also collaborates with cross-campus counterpart(s) to ensure clinical documentation in high risk areas is consistent and complete. The Charge Capture Specialist II collaborates with cross-campus counterpart(s) to ensure consistency in processes in such a manner that each individual can act as a back-up for the other to ensure seamless charge capture in high risk areas when one individual is out.

Duties include charge entry, ensuring correctness of coding in Charge Review, providing ongoing education to charging departments and works payor coding denials.


Qualifications


Required Minimum Education:
High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution required. Bachelor's degree preferred.



Required Minimum Experience:
Two years collection experience or two years' experience with physician billing.



Required Minimum Certification:
Coding Certification through AAPC or AHIMA (CPC-A, CPC, CCA, COC, CCS-P or equivalent) required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Position Summary

Blue River's Field Operations team is seeking several Data Capture Specialists to provide seasonal support onsite at various grower sites throughout the Midwestern and Southern United States. This work will be approximately 3 months in duration and will require a mix of agriculture and basic farming knowledge and basic technology / software experience. Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the daily collection of field data in various grower site locations and assigned regions; traveling between sites for scheduled data capture in partnership with growers and the Field Engineering team
  • Provide accurate data collection tracking on a daily basis utilizing software
  • Ensure quality image captures are completed as per test plan requirements
  • Complete consistent, timely transmission of data to centralized repository for utilization by various Blue River teams
  • Effectively manage daily / weekly work schedule accounting for travel time and weather variables to maximize productivity
  • Maintain and operate equipment with a high degree of attention to safety and care of equipment
  • Represent Blue River and John Deere professionally, exhibiting great customer service and exemplary personal conduct

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience within agriculture operations operating various types of machinery
  • Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs; capable of working in a physically demanding grower site locations for extended periods of time
  • Capable of using an interactive touch screen to set values, enter information via keyboard, and follow a series of steps by memory to set the machine requirements
  • Familiarity with Windows software for data management; eg. Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work very autonomously; capable of completing work with little to no direct supervision while meeting project timelines
