Key areas of Responsibilities:
Assists in the coordination and communication between departments.
Assists all departments in coordinating procedures necessary for contractual obligations.
Coordinates communication and reporting systems between departments to ensure that all reports, assignments, and functions are being met in accordance with requirements.
Maintains a system to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and contract compliance.
Investigates reporting procedures, records, management methods, and departmental systems, and compiles reports, including conclusions and recommendations for solutions to administrative or department problems.
Monitors statistical performance and maintains accurate record keeping.
Ensures that documents are grammatically correct.
Notifies the Center Director of repairs/costs above routine expenditures.
Makes effective use of time, materials, and resources by planning, scheduling, and organizing work.
Sets appropriate performance goals for staff.
Education/Experience:
A High School diploma and valid driver's license is required.
Associates degree preferred. Two years of related experience.
Must possess computer efficiency and communication skills.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check!

The Student Records Clerk position provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor. The Job Corps program is a federally-funded residential training program. The mission of Job Corps is to provide career-ready technical and academic training and job placement assistance to program eligible youth ages 16-24.
Summary of Duties:
Generate, maintain, and ensure accuracy of all data files and manual files for students enrolled in Job Corps in compliance with government and management directives.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
Generate and maintain data, ensuring accuracy of the local management information system and the CIS system.
Maintain master file of all reports received.
File necessary paperwork in each student's individual record, adhering to the student right to privacy policy.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of data entered into CIS systems and documentation in student records.
Perform a variety of clerical duties concerning student records to ensure compliance; including typing correspondence, form letters, accountability forms, and order forms; ensure the department is continually stocked with materials.
Enter student accountability attendance into the CIS system with input from the residential living manager, career services director, academic and career technical training managers.
Make necessary travel arrangements for students. Work closely with the designated travel agency and necessary departments to ensure best travel arrangements. Ensure all unused or voided tickets are processed.
Ensure proper archiving procedures for separated student records.
Maintain accountability of students and property; adhere to safety practices.
Cultivate and maintain a climate on center, which is free of harassment, intimidation, and disrespect to provide a safe place for staff and students to work and learn.
Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skills acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed.
Follows all guidelines, policies, and procedures set forth by the Department of Labor/Job Corps and Human Learning Systems.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma.
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
