Transit Monitoring attacks trafficking at the most strategic momentwhile it is in the process of occurring, but before victims have been exploited or enslaved. It seeks people who are being actively trafficked or at high risk of being trafficked and prevents it. It is tangible, measurable, and has a very high impact on the dollar. A Transit Monitor stands in public areas like train or bus stations and border crossings, and watch for signs of trafficking. When they see these signs, they will show an identity card and question the suspected victim and trafficker.
