Young at Heart Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Data Entry Technician. As a vital part of our data entry team, you will be responsible for ensuring prompt and professional entering of orders accurately and efficiently in order to correctly provide medications to our customers. Additionally, you will maintain a positive and pleasant demeanor with all customers and colleagues while accurately entering customer requests and processing refill requests.
Responsibilities:
* Input customer and prescription data into the computer system
* Ensure accuracy: right patient, right facility, right payor, right physician, right drug, right strength, right quantity, right SIG
* Ensure prompt service by assisting customers via phone
* Work directly with customer facilities to enter accurate information
* Respond to customer requests in a timely manner
* Work to meet daily SLA
* Work with order entry team to ensure new and refill orders entered before cut-off time
* Escalate any issues to Data Entry Lead or Pharmacist
* Participate in required training
* Attend all necessary training sessions
* Review and follow all applicable policies and procedures
* Provide Back-Up Customer Service functions
* Participate in required Customer Service training sessions
* Utilize Lean Concepts to improve processes
* Document issues and suggestions using CPAS and Rapid Improvements
* Follow documented procedures to ensure consistency
* Troubleshoot any order issues as needed
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Active pharmacy technician license from the Indiana State Board of Pharmacy preferred.
* Previous data entry experience.
Working Conditions:
* Normal working hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with additional time as required based on daily workloads.
* Saturday shifts may be required to support customers.
* Participation in the on-call rotation is voluntary, with incentive pay provided.
* Data entry team members must work well together as a team.
Physical Requirements:
* Sitting and working at a computer for up to 8 hours a day, minus scheduled breaks.
* Operating a desktop keyboard and mouse.
* Using a desk phone with either handset or wireless headset.
* Communicating with employees, patients, caregivers, and physicians by phone, fax, and email in a courteous and professional manner.

Responsible for manually loading new client referrals for all areas of the Company. Works the new accounts received via the accident program referral files. New Business is responsible for reviewing the account from the client's past perspective, updating information into FACS and applying that detail into CBS procedures to move the account forward in the collection process. The new business representative is responsible for making sure all procedures are followed as outlined in the maintained work instruction documents for the program outlined.

Essential Duties of the Position
Enter paper loads manually into FACS.
Enter and/or complete missing insurance information in FACS from the client systems on manual and electronic loads from new business queues 1003 and 2000.
Correct patient/RP demographic information
Verify all insurance information is entered from the client system
Verify all auto insurance information with the carrier to evaluate if Med pay or Bodily injury
Verify Medicaid eligibility for all patients and check for Medicare for appropriate age demographics.
Move accounts to the appropriate status in FACS based on the information received/gathered at list.
“Don't haves” from A/R
Manually loading accounts as needed per the clients request.
Monitor volume and wait dates in all new business queues
Monitor manual loads, “don't haves”, volume and wait date
Responsibilities of the Position
Over 15 K accounts worked as assigned by manager
Urgent billing emails as assigned by manager
Check eligibility
Make calls to insurance companies to check eligibility and verify the claim submission file limit
Check eligibility on Passport and insurance websites.
Verify workers compensation information
Keep supervisor updated on significant issues that may be discovered in regards to certain payers or suggestions of how we can improve processes.
Meet deadlines for account review, completion of spreadsheets at the request of management.

Work is somewhat independent in nature. The incumbent makes a substantial impact on the processing of the account based on actions completed.
