California Energy Commission (CEC) is hiring an Energy Data Framework Specialist in the Data Integration Branch of the Energy Assessments Division (EAD). The position is within the DataCollection Analysis Unit and considered an Electric Generation System Specialist I (EGSS I) state classification.
Our Energy Data Framework Specialist will perform analytical work on the topics of energy cost frameworks, historical energy use, end-use surveys, energy consumption and economic and demographic data sets and information regarding energy use in residential, commercial and industrial buildings.
The Energy Data Framework Specialist will coordinate with state stakeholders such as California Public Utilities Commission, CAISO, and California Air Resource Board on various projects. Our Data Collection Analysis Unit is responsible for implementing EAD's data strategy, using the latest data science tools and methodologies to inform stakeholders of relevant insights and developments.
** Telework option is available, but hired candidate must reside in California before starting.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Enter and update support contract data in ERP, CRM, or contract management systems.
+ Establish, link, and maintain customer assets under support contracts, ensuring accurate relationships between serial numbers, product IDs, and contract terms.

The California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) is seeking a Research DataSpecialist III (RDS III). In this role, you will help CSAC and its stakeholders to use data to improve financial aid for California students. As a RDS III on the Data, Analysis and Research Team, part of the Research, Analysis, and Program Innovation Division, you will conduct independent research and quantitative analysis. You will also model policy change scenarios; oversee and manage large-scale surveys of student populations; respond to both internal and external data requests; and assist with budget preparation and expenditure projections.
