Data manager job description

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Operations Research, Applied Math, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or equivalent in a related discipline.
• Ideally 5+ years of experience, including 2 years leading a team to develop machine learning, data science and/or optimization applications.
• Biased toward action. Do what it takes to ramp up and solve problems quickly. Ability to synthesize large amounts of data to make informed decisions and act on them.
• Hands on experience with one or more of the following programming languages (Python, Julia, R, C#); additional languages valued.
• Experience with at least one major deep learning framework.
• Experience solving large scale optimization problems using AMPL, JuMP, Pyomo, CPLEX, Gurobi, Xpress and/or open-source solvers.
• Experience with cloud-based solutions (preferably Azure).
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex ideas to various groups. Strong interpersonal skills to lead and develop teams.
• Commitment to producing high quality, well-designed and flexible solutions.
• Experience with customer interaction to discuss requirements and use cases is highly desired.
• Warehousing/Distribution experience is a plus

Your tasks:

AI Data Manager is responsible for providing the proper quality, quantity and distribution of relevant datasets for the AI projects.
- Collect, consolidate and document data requirements from deep learning / machine learning specialists
- Plan, request, track and facilitate labeling activities in line with project timelines
- Track and communicate the status of the data processing steps in a transparent way
- Prepare and maintain label specification for different machine learning functions
- Review labeling results in line with the label specification and project requirement
- Represent the machine learning projects towards other departments

Position Purpose: Oversee and ensure accurate, timely, and efficient reporting related to all core business functions. This is a remote position.
• Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of internal and external state report deliverables

• Manage scheduled and ad hoc reporting needs of the organization

• Execute and manage the completion of large reconciliation tasks and analytical projects

• Responsible for the quality and completeness of data in core systems by performing and overseeing the auditing of data

• Oversee large systems and data related projects and collaborate with cross-functional departments to develop and implement improved reporting and data workflows and processes

• Mentor and manage a team of data analysts of variable skill and practice levels

• Lead and execute complex data related analytical projects to drive business decisions and efficencies

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or IT, related field or equivalent experience. 4+ years of statistical analysis or data analysis experience. Medicare and Medicaid managed care experience a plus. Knowledge of various data mining, reporting, and reconciliation tools and methodologies. Advanced systems and software knowledge in MS Access and Excel, SQL, and data warehousing. Amysis experience preferred. Experience working with diverse business groups within a matrix environment. Project management experience preferred.
