STV's Transportation group based in our Douglassville, Harrisburg, and Philadelphia, PA offices, is seeking construction inspection supervisors with experience on PennDOT and PA Turnpike highway and bridge construction projects.

Ability to prepare, review and edit written inspection reports on work in progress and completed work, including quantity calculations, materials, methods, and equipment used, and costs, to facilitate witnessing and documenting materials testing and certification processes, and to work with CM and client staff to adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.
Maintain a physical presence on the project site(s) to have a personal knowledge of project issues, to support project CI staff, to support the client and CM staff, and facilitate quick resolutions to construction issues;

QUALITY INSPECTOR I/II - MECHANICAL
Based out of Rocket Lab's Headquarters in Long Beach, CA the Quality Inspector I/II - MECHANICAL is responsible for carrying out inspections using, but not limited to, prescribed inspection criteria. A high level of attention to detail is needed to detect anything related to the product that does not meet engineering/production standards. In this role you will help prevent faulty hardware from progressing in the manufacturing process and support root cause mitigation and elimination of failure modes. You will support the Quality Manager and Production organization, with deliverables required for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors.
WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO:
Perform complex mechanical inspections for purchased parts, 3D-printed components, CNC-machined items, electro-mechanical components, and propulsion assemblies.
Perform all types of precision inspections, including receiving, in process and final assembly inspections. This includes capability to effectively use hand measurement systems and CMM.
Thoroughly document non-conformance in accordance with Rocket Lab systems and procedures in our internal ERP, MES and Issue tracking system.
Collaborate with engineering and management to improve work instructions and identify critical inspection points in the process.
Coordinate with Production personnel to prioritize workload and enable the team to meet key delivery milestones.

Stay updated on advancements in NDT technology and techniques to continuously improve inspection capabilities
YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of experience in mechanical assembly, mechanical fitting, or NDT testing
Certified in American Welding Society (AWS) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
Certification as NDT Level III in X-Ray (per ASNT, NAS 410, or equivalent standards)
Experience in aviation, aerospace, or a similar industry performing NDT inspections
Extensive experience inspecting advanced materials such as high-strength aluminum alloys, precipitation-hardened steels, Inconel, Monel, titanium, and Maraging steel (super alloys)
Strong knowledge of NDT standards and codes, including AS, AMS, AWS, NAS, ASME, and ASTM
High school diploma or GED
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:
Proven experience in improving NDT processes for efficiency, productivity, and quality assurance
Familiarity with advanced inspection techniques for complex geometries and challenging materials

Kleinfelder Construction Services is seeking an experienced Lead Roadway Inspector to perform quality assurance inspection services on transportation-related road and highway improvement projects in the Inland Empire. The Lead Roadway Inspector will be assigned a field vehicle and gas card, reporting to a construction job site(s), with the ability to work extended shifts and nights as needed. The initial assignment is for a bus rapid transit project in Ontario.
Job Duties
* Lead a team of field inspectors coordinating inspection between multiple jurisdictions and municipalities
* Perform quality assurance inspection and documentation of civil (roadway) construction activities under the direction of a Resident Engineer
* Coordinate construction activities with various property/business owners within the proximity to the project; provides verification of adherence to temporary construction easements
* Issue field directives to the Contractor; attend weekly construction meetings; coordination of the construction schedule and notifications with the public outreach team
* Coordinate Quality Assurance materials sampling and testing
* Verify the implementation of the Contractor's Quality Control Program and adherence to plans and specifications
* Prepare detailed Daily Inspection Reports, with photos, accurately reflecting the construction progress
* Measure, calculate, track, and record pay quantities for monthly estimates
* Assist in maintaining, supporting, and promoting a safe work environment while complying with applicable safety rules, policies, and procedures
* Maintain a set of field as-built drawings
* Assist the Resident Engineer with field input on change orders, RFIs, submittals and response letters to the contractor, and as-built drawings
Qualifications/Skills
* High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred.
* Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in roadway construction inspection of highways or major public works projects including traffic control, PCC and AC paving, earthwork, grading, drainage, and signing and striping
* Knowledge and experience with equipment used in construction inspection, surveying and field testing of construction materials.
* Knowledge and experience with principles of effective communication and supervision
* Able to work independently, make effective decisions concerning construction work in progress and solve field problems

Your role:
