Position Summary
Responsible for performing a variety of support tasks within R&D, quality and regulatory. The goal of this role is to provide the intern a rotational experience in the various science-based departments within Swanson.
Essential Responsibilities
Contribute to new product ideation and formulations and determining form most suitable for the formulation (capsule, softgel, gummy, etc)
Bench work determining feasibility of formulations (understanding and accounting for physical and chemical properties of materials to be used)
Reviewing emerging research and determining feasibility of research supporting structure/function claims for existing and new products.
Assist with sample movement, chain of custodies, physical testing, and sample prep in the Quality Control laboratory.
Provide data analysis and trending graphs from stability studies.
Conduct science-based safety evaluation and literature review for Swanson Health Products to ensure appropriate products dosages and labelling, including warning statements and target population restrictions.
Ensure products and their ingredients are designed to be safe for the customer under expected usage conditions and compliant with appropriate regulations. Provide guidance to internal teams on any ingredient opportunities or modifications needed to maximize Swanson product domestic and non-US market access.
Review products composition and claims, advertising materials, and labels for compliance with FDA and FTC laws and other applicable federal/state/country regulations.
Assist with 3rd party certification audit prep
Assist QA with sampling and inspection of incoming SHP materials
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Conducts self in the presence of customers and community so as to present a professional image of SHP.

+ Gain knowledge of general agronomy skills such as scouting, crop protection products, crop nutrient products, seed, custom application procedures, mixing procedures, truck driving, and delivering product.
+ Perform all agronomy/seed operations.
+ Monitor and maintain quality of inventory.
+ Regulate and periodic housecleaning processes and record keeping.
+ Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for all agronomy equipment including legs, conveyors, towers, vehicles, sprayers, floaters, trucks, etc.
+ Provide excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
+ Work in and keep an environment that is compliant with state, local, and CHS Environmental and Safety policy.
**Minimum Qualifications (required)**
+ Currently enrolled in Ag Business, Crop Science, or other Agriculture related degree program.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Software.

RedHawks Summer Internship:The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working individuals to join our front office team in the 2025 season! This position would work within the grounds/facilities department. Internships can be done for college credit and are paid positions. Housing is available. Positions run from May 2025 to September 2025 (some flexibility for school schedule available).
Turf Management Internship Role:This position will assist in all maintenance activities of a professional baseball playing surface. Other duties will include stadium operations and equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
Assist in mound, home plate and bullpen repairs
Infield and warning track maintenance
Mowing on field and around stadium as needed
Game and batting practice set up and tear down
Assist with all turfgrass cultural practices including fertilization, aerification and chemical applications
Irrigation maintenance
Assist with tarping mound, home plate, bullpens and infield as needed
Maintains cleanliness of field equipment and tools
Cleans dugouts, shop area and other stadium areas as needed
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to stadium operations projects and equipment maintenance
QualificationsApplicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. and should be pursuing a two- or four-year degree in agronomy, horticulture, or related field with emphasis in Turfgrass Management. Prior baseball experience is preferred but not required. This position requires the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Flexibility and adaptability is required. Adherence to company handbook and policies is required.
