What Your Day Will Look Like Partner with executive and business development teams to identify opportunities for data-driven decision-making. Analyze structured and unstructured data to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Build dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI to support business operations and strategy. Conduct exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing to support strategic initiatives. Collaborate with analysts and engineers to ensure data quality and accessibility. Contribute to the development of predictive models and machine learning solutions as the company's data maturity grows. Communicate findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stay current with emerging tools, techniques, and best practices in data science and AI. You're perfect for this role if you: Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and scripting. Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and storytelling abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Growth mindset and willingness to learn new tools and techniques. Exposure to AWS cloud services. Preferred (Nice to Have): Familiarity with SQL Mesh or similar data orchestration tools. The ideal candidate will play an important role in translating research code into robust and easy-to-use software packages, as well as contribute to the understanding and use of imaging data. The primary location is at UTSW, including collaborative visits at ZI, New York. Main responsibilities include:Develop and maintain software packages for the analysis of functional optical imaging data (e. g. , one- and two-photon calcium and voltage imaging). Develop and maintain local and browser-based user interfaces for these packages.
