The KLA Services team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. Job Description/Preferred Qualifications
Join KLA's Service Supply Chain team as a Summer Intern in Machine Learning! Our service supply chain supports a wide range of spare parts-from basic hardware to highly sophisticated optics, lasers, and precision mechanical devices. To ensure optimal delivery performance, we leverage advanced analytics and machine learning to predict demand and improve planning processes.
As an intern, you will:
Build a graph representation of KLA's spare parts demand network to enable predictive modeling and other advanced analytics.
Develop and implement machine learning models (e.g., using PyTorch) to forecast monthly spare parts demand.
Explore and apply graph-based approaches for network representation and prediction.
Work with large datasets to uncover patterns and insights that traditional analytics cannot easily reveal.
Collaborate with the supply chain and planning teams to integrate findings into actionable strategies.
Utilize Linux command line tools and scripting for data processing and workflow automation.

Minimum Qualifications

+ **Drive Impactful Solutions** : Lead end-to-end data science initiatives, from problem definition to deployment and monitoring, to drive key business outcomes in marketing analytics for Ford Pro. + **Education** : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
+ **Experience** : 5+ years of progressive experience in Data Science, with a significant focus on marketing analytics or related business domains.
+ **Technical Proficiency** :
+ 3+ years expert proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and strong SQL skills.
+ Extensive experience with relevant data science libraries and frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Pandas).
+ Strong understanding and practical experience with advanced statistical modeling, machine learning techniques (e.g., regression, classification, forecasting, causal inference).
+ Demonstrated experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure), including building data processing pipelines (e.g., Spark, Dataflow) and utilizing managed machine learning services.
+ **Problem-Solving** : Proven ability to independently translate ambiguous business problems into solvable data science problems and deliver impactful, production-ready solutions.
+ **Communication** : Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex analytical results and their business implications clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
+ **Collaboration** : Demonstrated experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and contributing to a highly collaborative environment.

+ An advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field.
+ Direct experience with A/B testing design, implementation, and analysis, as well as other experimental design methodologies.
+ Expertise in specific marketing analytics areas such as customer segmentation, lifetime value (LTV) modeling, campaign optimization, media mix modeling, or attribution modeling.
+ Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, including model deployment, versioning, and automated monitoring in production environments.
+ Contributions to open-source projects, academic publications, or industry conferences in relevant data science or marketing analytics fields.
