Ensure consistency of claim filing and compliance by formulating and maintaining policies and procedures related to drawback. Prepare, where necessary, drawback ruling requests to us customs and border protection (CBP) headquarters and other procedural requirements to local CBP drawback offices. Provide drawback operational information/advice on technical matters of drawback to other T&B offices by issuing memos, trade bulletins, and tradelines. Increase client base by engaging in outreach programs such as drawback seminars and presentations. Keep abreast of drawback issues and developments by maintaining a drawback reference library which is current and complete. This includes printed as well as electronic media. Ensure compliance within T&B by conducting periodic reviews of internal policies and procedures for the drawback product.
