The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience using specialized software to store and organize data demonstrating their ability with TSQL coding, schema design, reporting and ETL. Prefer candidates who have mapped data from source to target as well as define testing approaches and test plans with a P&C Insurance company.

Responsibilities Analyze data-related business and technical needs, elicit and document requirements related to data integration from source systems to target data warehouse, data marts, data analytic tools, and information delivery solutions.

Develop SQL to report out information from data warehouse and other data repositories as required by business operations and analytics team.

Develop hands-on experience with our systems to understand policy, claims and billing life cycles and information collected to operate our business.

Develop a thorough understanding of our insurance business and business processes and how these are represented in our data within the systems and the data warehouse.

Support release planning (blueprinting) efforts by identifying data pertinent scope and requirements driven by Policy, Claims, Billing workstreams on major and monthly releases.

Gather data needs from business consumers: BI/Analytics, Finance, Operations, etc.; and assesses the business "reasonableness of the requests, as well as getting to the best requirement for the business.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Must Have Bachelors' degree and at least two years of relevant experience.
Equivalent is defined as six years of relevant experience.
Relevant experience as a business analyst for technical projects.
Experience and proficiency in creating SQL queries out of complex data models.
Understanding of business intelligence/data warehousing technologies.
Preferably strong knowledge of insurance industry data models/modeling relevant to the property & casualty industry and ability to apply models to a newly developed data warehouse and related tools and processes.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, capable of presenting complex issues in a clear, concise and persuasive manner to the business and technical professionals, including C-level executives.
Strategic mindset with an ability to plan and execute strategies.
Demonstrated initiative, self-starter, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting deadlines.
To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.

Preferred to Have Advanced knowledge of T-SQL, database schema design, reports, SQL performance tuning.
Strong knowledge of related technologies (Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Warehousing, Information Governance, etc.).
Ability to troubleshoot difficult and undocumented issues with creative and well thought-out solutions, after gaining manager's approval.

Job Description

Serve as a trusted technical advisor for clients to support Customer Data Platform (CDP) implementation

Maintain strong knowledge of technical as well as functional features of CDP Products, their strengths & limitations, and other critical aspects to successfully guide our clients during selection of CDP vendor, Implementation and Operations of the CDP.

To be able to understand the client's customer life cycle, touchpoints where customer data is captured and business processes to collect, analyze and consume this data for various purposes such as marketing, sales, customer service etc.

Have comprehensive understanding of Master Data Management Concepts when applied to Customer data including but not limited to data collection, unification, transformation, segmentation and storage

Should be able to have confident techno-functional conversations with the client, advising and addressing concerns about Customer Data Platform concepts and technical architecture in the context of client's business

Advise on performance optimizations and best practices for scalable data models, pipelines and queries

Provide supervision and guidance to development team to ensure the CDP is implemented as per business requirements

Assessing current state technical architecture and advise how CDP will fit to enhance the maturity level of clients in terms of utilizing customer data to achieve client business goals.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, IT, etc.) preferred but not required.

5+ yrs experience in Data Solutions, leading the discovery, design, and construction of Cloud based Enterprise Migration solutions

Preferred experience in Customer Data Platform/Management (Custom CDP Solutions, SaaS CDP Solutions such as Tealium AudienceStream, Adobe AEP, Salesforce Evergage, Acquia AgilOne, etc.)

Experience in implementing & operating Data Management Platforms (DMP) such as Adobe DMP, Salesforce DMP, Snowflake DMP, SAS DMP

Experience with data management, data transformation, ETL, preferably using cloud-based tools/infrastructure such as IBM MDM.

Experience in Analytics (Google & Adobe) and Personalization (Target, Optimizely, etc..)

Understanding & experience with Microsoft Azure & Amazon AWS cloud architecture & services

Solid understanding of Machine Learning & AI

Knowledge of Tag Management, Systems Integrations, APIs & Connectors, Middleware, Data Lakes, Cloud Data Warehouse e.g. Snowflake etc.

Strong full cycle presales experience - including crafting solutions for Large deals in the Insights & Data space

Knowledge of Data Governance and Data Privacy concepts and regulations

Certifications in Cloud technologies such as Adobe, Acquia and Salesforce are desirable
