Key Functions

Job Summary:

Strategic & Project Leadership:
Lead or assist in database projects, including upgrades, integrations, and process automations.
Collaborate with Development leadership to analyze and forecast revenue, identify trends, and optimize donor engagement strategies.
Contribute to the design and evaluation of new fundraising initiatives and campaigns by providing data modeling and segmentation support.
Maintain familiarity with data privacy, confidentiality, and compliance requirements related to donor information.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in data management, nonprofit administration, business, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a fundraising CRM (Raiser's Edge NXT strongly preferred) in a complex nonprofit environment.

The Development Database Administrator (DBA) oversees and optimizes New York Common Pantry's donor database (Raiser's Edge NXT) to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and strategic use of fundraising data. This role is both technical and analytical, serving as the backbone of the Development team's infrastructure. The DBA manages complex administration, reporting, and data analytics to inform fundraising strategy, strengthen donor relationships, and drive organizational growth.

The Development Database Administrator will report to the Chief Development Officer at the 8 East 109th, New York, NY 10029 location. The position is full-time, exempt. This role has flexibility for hybrid work.
Responsibilities:
Database Management & Data Integrity:
Serve as the organization's primary Raiser's Edge NXT administrator, managing system configuration, global settings, security permissions, and integrations.
Ensure timely, accurate, and complete entry of all constituent, gift, and pledge information.Develop and enforce data standards, coding conventions, and audit processes to maintain database integrity.
Manage routine data hygiene projects, including de-duplication, address verification, and NCOA updates, and troubleshoot data issues that may impact data quality.
