Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, and optimize SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, and Cosmos DB databases. Design and implement database schemas, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers to support application development. Ensure database security, encryption, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies are in place and regularly tested. Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks, applying tuning techniques to optimize queries and indexes. Manage and maintain data replication, partitioning, and scaling strategies for high-volume healthcare data. Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and analytics teams to support integrations, reporting, and ETL processes. Enforce compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and other healthcare/enterprise data privacy and security standards. Implement database automation and infrastructure-as-code practices to improve efficiency and reliability. Provide on-call support for critical production issues and ensure 24/7 uptime of mission-critical systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of professional experience as a DBA in enterprise-scale environments. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure SQL Database administration. Hands-on experience with MySQL and/or Cosmos DB.
