Implement and troubleshoot SQL Server issues, including blocking, deadlocking, replication, and log shipping. Execute database shrink operations, clustering, mirroring, and replication. Generate and send weekly operational automation reports. Database Architecture Develop and maintain logical database designs, data models, and relational database definitions. Identify and analyze business requirements to transform them into data models. Design and deploy reports using Microsoft Reporting Services, Excel, and other analytical tools. Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for data integration. Participate in testing and implementation of new or enhanced data load processes. Data Mining and Analysis Design analytical cubes and reports from local and external data sources. Extract data from various clinical, financial, and human resource systems. Create and maintain SQL stored procedures, SSIS packages, and reporting solutions. Support hospital process improvement projects through data extraction and analysis. System Administration Maintain and optimize physical and virtual database environments. Perform server maintenance, patching, configuration, and monitoring. Implement technical scripting and automation for efficient operations. Conduct system health checks and generate performance metrics. Security and Compliance Ensure compliance with government security protocols, including DoD 8570.01\-M. Perform security audits and implement best practices for database protection. Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute backup strategies. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration, with expertise in SQL Server. Must pass a government background check and obtain required security clearances Certifications: Required: COMPTIA Security+ (Sec+) Preferred: Server+ and\/or MCSA Technical Skills: Microsoft SQL Server (2012\/2014\/2016) SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Integration Services (SSIS) Data modeling, ETL processes, and database performance tuning T\-SQL, P\-SQL, Visual Basic, and C# Familiarity with Intersystems CACHE, IIS 10.0, and SharePoint Online Work Environment Office setting within Information Management Department.
