Summary Reporting to the Database Team Manager, this individual will be a contributor providing database, server, and application support, leveraging Microsoft Windows, SQL Server, VMware, MS Azure, and industry storage technologies. Support, troubleshoot, and apply SQL permissions across prod/stage/dev environments. Tune customized SQL maintenance plans across all production SQL servers. Performance tuning using SQL DMVs, SQL Sentry, execution plans Create scripts to automate administrative tasks such as post monthly OS patching systems checkup process using but not limited to PowerShell, Windows Task Scheduler, and others. SQL data security, capacity planning, database tables indexing and query tuning. SQL Server table portioning, SQL Server replication, Data virtualization using Polybase technology. Use third party tools to snap production databases to low region environments. Installation and configuration of additional SQL Windows environments utilizing VMware. Basic administrative tasks for Active Directory to support Microsoft SQL Server. Maintain and optimize resources utilization of VMware virtual machines. Availability to monitor, respond and resolve afterhours requests for MSSQL support. Essential Skills, Education and Experience: Undergraduate degree in technology or applicable technical training/certification in lieu of degree preferred 10+ years of direct SQL server knowledge and experience (installation, configuration, performance tuning, security, maintenance). Strong knowledge of Microsoft based technologies, including SQL Server 2017/19/22, Windows 10/11, Windows Server 2017/19/22. Strong experience with Always-On Availability Groups, Replication Experience with VMware or other virtualization technologies.
