This role ensures that donor, alumni, and constituent records are kept current and reliable, providing a strong foundation for fundraising, stewardship, and engagement efforts. Working closely with the Database Manager, the Assistant Vice President, and colleagues across Institutional Advancement and Finance, the Database Associate plays a key role in processing gifts, maintaining constituent data, and supporting reporting needs that drive the success of the Hunter College Foundation. Key Responsibilities: Data Entry & Maintenance Accurately enter, update, and maintain constituent records, including alumni, donors, and friends of the College. Conduct ongoing data clean-up and regular quality assurance checks in Raiser's Edge NXT. Reporting & Exports Run queries, lists, and exports to support mailings, solicitations, events, and stewardship activities. Produce donor lists, acknowledgment letters, and reports for development staff and leadership. Provide data support for campaign tracking, alumni engagement, and financial reconciliation. Data Quality & Compliance Maintain confidentiality and donor data security. Support processes for duplicate record prevention and resolution. Ensure compliance with relevant privacy standards, including FERPA. Maintain constituent records Collaboration & Support Work with the Finance team to reconcile gifts and funds. Provide basic Raiser's Edge NXT support to Institutional Advancement staff. Assist with testing database features, system integrations, and upgrades. Assist with additional tasks or projects as needed. Qualifications: Education & Experience Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1-2 years of experience with a CRM system; Raiser's Edge NXT strongly preferred. Experience in nonprofit, higher education, or advancement/fundraising environment desirable. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Clear communication skills and collaborative, service-oriented approach. High discretion when handling confidential information. Compensation and Benefits: Salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range is $65,000 - $75,000.
