This position involves ensuring data integrity, optimizing performance, and supporting the operations and maintenance of the Relocatable Over-the-Horizon Radar system (ROTHR) with database-related tasks. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting GCCS-J day-to-day operational readiness.
What you will do:
* Configure, manage and maintain the operation of complex relational databases across various operating systems
* Implement and manage data security protocols, including access controls and encryption with Active Directory account management and two-factor authentication implementation
* Create and manage DB schema objects including tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and triggers
* Collaborate with ISSO and system administrators to integrate new features and resolve vulnerability issues
* Perform DB tuning, coordinate application releases, and troubleshoot DB issues including slowness and latencies
* Patching the DB and applying any relevant product updates
* Perform upgrades of the DB and software to new release levels and handle database migrations
* Implement database high availability solutions and multiple types of replications to include query construction
* Work with team members to ensure technology is effectively supporting the enterprise
* Maintain comprehensive DB documentation, including data standards, procedures, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklists and preform SCAP scans monthly
* Support multiple system accreditation DB efforts (e.g., site or enclave ATO requirements)
* To provide backup support to SIPRNet Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Systems Administrator for day-to-day Global Command and Control System-Joint (GCCS-J) maintenance and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) servers maintenance
Qualifications You Must Have:
* DoD 8570 Workforce IAT Level II compliance - CompTIA Security+
